You're a citizen of Singapore, and for a career choice, decided to go with prostitute in Bangkok?

Something tells me you're going to regret that decision.

No advice to give. I don't know, take some sexy photos of yourself, get on the mobile apps, and start pimping yourself, I guess.

You'll find that asking advice here is not a very good idea. The internet is not filled with nice people.

Yes I can see that lol

Just make yourself available on the apps, I think looking for employment at one of the bars isn't a viable option. Assuming that you're cute, charming and smart, you will do well.

Welcome to Bangkok and good luck! :)

Not sure why you mention girls. If you're looking for female customers, it's even more unlikely that anyone here can provide helpful advice.

But in any case, if you've ever used any gay apps in Bangkok, you should have noticed that there's a good number of "money boys" and "massage boys" advertising more or less openly. It's definitely possible to use these apps to connect with paying customers.

There are gay apps. Grindr. Jackd, planetromeo. If you use a straight app you will not find many gay guys willing to pay you for your companionship

I'd have thought a young, slim, cute and willing Singaporean (which I assume the OP will be) would be quite an addition to the Bangkok bar scene! I believe the APEC regulations now - or soon will - permit and encourage mobility of labour between APEC countries, so work permits ought not to be an issue.

There is a thriving massage and escort scene in Singapore, but there is also a legal sword of Damocles in the form of Article A377A of the Penal Code making homosexual relations illegal - and such activities in which money changes hands even more illegal!! For a young guy wanting to pay for a holiday or simply make some quick cash, the OP's idea seems not unreasonable. I am sure the Thai barboys will not like the idea. But they should realise there are loads of Thais working illegally as profitable "masseurs" around the region including in Singapore.

Indeed, thinking about it, perhaps an influx of legal barboys from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China could be the shot in the arm that keeps the Bangkok bar scene alive!

Hello Jerry: Here is my advice. Feel free to take your ridiculous and transparent trolling nonsense somewhere else.

Whether it's trolling or not, it's a good read so far! I think he's looking to be steered toward, what we might consider a good bar in Bangkok to work at. So, perhaps the question might be, what bars in Bangkok are good and do you have the phone number to their personnel department? :)

Last trip I met a guy from cambodia that wanted to work in a gogo bar so we made a date to visit one. He was concerned that he was not dressed appropriately with his shorts on....

I took him to hotmale bar. The show sucked that night and the staff was a little hostile when I asked for the drink menu. They wanted us to order quickly so they could move on but my friend had no idea what he would like because he may have never tasted a mixed drink before.

I was at a standoff with the staff. They demanded we order and I would not order without the menu. They finally handed us an iPad with the drinks listed on it and he ended up ordering a Singha beer. Haha!

I still message him and he has not worked in a bar yet but he wants too.

Dude, you're on a gay board. We like penises over here. :)

You're probably not going to get much help here finding decent bars where they serve those rotten peach / fish smelling things people call vaginas.

For women... you may want to put up a post on Craigslist or backpage

There are quite a few female customers in the Soi Twilight bars that off some of the boys - usually the well-endowed ones. But if you work there, you'll also have to have your share of guys as clients as well. If you are not bisexual or that idea turns you off, sorry to say you're in the wrong chat room.

I have a hunch that Christianpfc would know of the bars JerryJovial is looking for.

That's wishful thinking at best, totally delusional otherwise, at least where we stand now.

That's me, however I don't know what surfcrest is referring to. I gave some advice here already:

It's April 3rd already, you are late!

Assuming your question is genuine, if you are here on a tourist visa, working in whichever form would break the law. Apart from that, try the host bars in Soi Twilight. Don't get involved in any physical work (serving drinks etc.), as a Singaporean, you would have good chances claiming you are a customer.

Phone number of a bar? They will tell you go there and ask the manager, that is if staff who answers your call speaks English and understands your question. Skip the calling, all these bars are in one Soi (Soi Twilight), just go there.

You want women as customers? How did you end up asking this question on a gay forum?

From my experience, there are bars where you might see women inside looking to "Off" a guy and other bars where you would not. I've seen plenty of women inside the "Adam Bomb", but then again...not so many in Sunee Plaza. There are bars in the Saphan Kwai that mainly cater to Thais and not so much to falang. So I would imagine, that there are bars where women can and predominantly...if not exclusively, "Off" guys. I would think, that someone has stumbled upon at least one of these...so as to point the way for JerryJovial.

Is that the bar across the Soi from the "Funny Apple"?

There are reputedly plenty of host bars for for women in Bangkok - Coconuts Bangkok did a story on one two years ago.

Don't know it is still in operation, but the article gives the exact location (Serm Mit Tower) if Jerry wants to try his luck!

http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2013/06/09/sometimes-you-go-women-only-hostess-lounge-and-its-just-kind-depressing

Going by the article they employed a South American (presumably illegally) back then, so presumably they would by willing to give a Singapore guy a chance?

Well I still think you're trolling. However if you only want female customers unless you are exceptionally attractive you won't make a good living. There is a reason why all the boys go with both men and women.
