POSEIDON HOTEL
IS NOT FOR SALE

IN FACT, MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS UNDERWAY,
HEIKO REPORTS

Heiko, the owner of Poseidon Hotel following the departure of his longtime partner, Helmut, who now operates the seemingly very successful Luxor Restaurant on Day Night Soi 2, advises that our report and reports by others that Poseidon was available for purchase was in error. On the contrary, Heiko advises, he has engaged a "truly professional expat for our F&B operation" and is revamping the entire food and beverage programme. Further, he advises, Poseidon "will make a substantial investment in renovation of its restaurant, lobby and terrace. This, he explained, will necessitate closing of the restaurant for two weeks starting in mid-July, with the entire project expected to be completed by mid August."

Heiko writes: "Poseidon not for sale.

"We refer to your report that "Poseidon is for sale" and would request you to publish this correction. Hopefully, you won't have to publish more such corrections!

"Poseidon Guesthouse is NOT for sale. The actual situation is quite to the contrary. We had the opportunity to engage a truly professional expatriate for our opFIBeration and this gives us the chance to revamp our entire F&B programme. At the same time "Poseidon" will make a substantial investment in renovation of its restaurant, lobby and terrace. The restaurant will be closed for about two weeks starting mid July and the entire project is expected to be completed latest by mid August. After completion we will be offering a greater variety of fine international cuisine without losing the German touch. Our wine list will also be extended and more fully balanced.

All this will be presented in a new environment with more emphasis on professional service with very competitive prices as in the past. All of us at "Poseidon" are committed to offering the "best" to our customers for many years to come and truly appreciate the loyalty of our many friends and guests in both the restaurant and hotel.

"Regards. -- Heiko"

So there we have it, from the owner himself. Poseidon is not for sale and is not seeking offers to purchase. It is instead upgrading its restaurant, and has hired a highly professional experienced Expat to help out in the food and beverage program. The fully expanded service will be available by late August, with the restaurant service resuming in "mid-July".

having had a tour the other day of the rooms the Poseidon still must be the best boutique hotel in Pattaya/Jomtien. There were some reports of hassles reported by some guests but maybe all is now OK.

The rooms are the nicest I've seen in any small hotel and I especially love the "garden view" room..that looks over a vacant lot where 2 dogs were having it off.
