The image posting process is very clunky and interestingly complicated. No more highlighting a url and hitting the image button. Now one gets a drop down box within which one must paste the url and then check a box which has indecipherable tech-speak ... or not check the box (this being difficult because one has no idea why or why not they should check it).
This is arguably the one feature which I have stumbled over in which phpBB wins.

It is Ajax technology, also it strips URL from malicious injection with executable files masked as a image...

If interested, the photo above is part of the outer walll at Prasat Phanom Rung in Buriram province. Definitely worth visiting.

Question for The Two Gurus: what is the time limit on being able to edit one's post? I tried putting this post into the photo post but the edit feature had already shut off ... probably only after 15 or 20 minutes. Seems a bit low to me.

Thank you Mose's for your growing-ever-deeper tech-speak of which I know pretty much zero. Translation (I think): it's a security thing?

10 min... it is normal for forums: it is against spammer timing - usually modern bot posts something innocent and when moder approves it bot comes back and edits post with spam... we can't separate newbie and old member since it is only setup panel for all editing for both groups of users... that why it is only 10 min - to find and fix grammar only... you can use full editor with preview to compose long posts and watch how it looks like instead of edit post many times...

I plan to do some tinkering with the photo upload controls tomorrow, see if a few soft adjustments can make us feel more in control with the controls. I'm going to explain some of the many adjustments members can do on their own controls to suit their individual liking. If you notice something you particularly don't like or would like us to bring back a control that you did like...please leave us comments in this Forum!
