A young man from the NSW city of Wagga Wagga has become the second Australian to be shot in Thailand in the past fortnight.
Lee Burkinshaw, 22, was injured on Tuesday night in what the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade described as a shooting incident in Chantaburi province, on the Thai-Cambodian border.
Mr Burkinshaw was treated at a local hospital before being evacuated to Bangkok after suffering a bullet wound in the shooting, about 245km south-east of the capital."
