Here's a tough Monday morning question for you: which of the two categories do you think Thailand figures prominently in?

In about 1998 , I waited at Ekamai for a bus to Pattaya and was afforded a close-up view of tyres of the buses as they drew-up there. Bare patches, visible inner-tubes (apparently still used in those days)... and so, no I am not in the least bit surprised

I'm fascinated that the Maldives is up there with Denmark and ahead of the UK. I didn't know they had roads, let alone cars!

Thailand..... number two.... just under Libya.... :-o omg.

I'm often terrified of the super fast and sporadic way the car service driver drives on the highway.... from Bangkok to Pattaya. They speed all the way up.... then ride the bumper of the car in front of them for a long time. When they can pass, they fly up to high speeds again. They're insane.

Luckily, in the city, there's too much traffic to speed much...

Most of the islands in Maldives don't really have roads... much more than a golf cart can use. And even the main island... who's going to be in a hurry to get anywhere?
