Take a look at this article in pattaya103.com http://pattaya103.com/storms-and-flooding-hits-pattaya/. This is Pattaya today 16 September 2015.

I was wondering why so many Pattaya boys were in Bangkok at the moment ... maybe they can't swim?

Belated happy rainy season! Here in Bangkok as well, since about a week ago rain every day, in several cases interfering with my plans.

Love this line from the link (my bold):

emergency ferries brought tourists from nearby Koh Larn to the mainland where some were greeted by the cityтАЩs deputy mayor before being ferried to their hotels

"Sweet are the uses of adversity" Shakespeare.

During the height of the flood this evening I abandoned Sunnee and set off for Boyztown .

I took a short cut and found myself in an inundated Wat Chai.

Wading around the rear of the Wat in the dim light I found myself surrounded by 5 beautiful boys in underwear with their slim bodies glistening in the rain and each wielding a machete or a small samurai sword.

First I though I was about to killed in the confusion of a gang fight but then they all took off on slim legs with arms a-slashing in pursuit of an unfortunate swimming rat.
Non of these boys have I ever seen before; they just turned up from a neighbourhood I never knew existed to do what Thai boys probably always did when the flood comes-become lithe joyful hunters.

Notwithstanding that of the poor rat , the experience , for me, was erotic, fleeting and unique.

Just goes to show: when the floods starts rushing In Thailand ... have no fear, just find shelter at a 7-11. They're everywhere and never shut their doors even for a tsunami.

Looked like the scene on Pattaya Tai near Wat Chai or rather River Tai.
