Both those sites work for me today. Is this something looming in the future? Have they been blocked somewhere other than in Thailand? Where did you hear about this?

Both sites no longer function in Thailand. I googled info on both and read current posts of there demise. If you know something on this matter that differs I'de love to know it!
I use an Android based system.

Very strange. I, too, live in Thailand (Pattaya to be specific) and just checked both sites. They are working and adding new torrents as of 2 minutes ago. All I can figure is that your service provider may had blocked them. I use Jomtien Cable (a CAT system) and so far there's been no interruption.

Just checked http://thepiratebay.se (or .vg or .mn) again and works fine on both Windows and Android (goes to mobilebay). Did not check Kickass, never use it.
