Rambutan boutique hotel and Rambutan Resort are both nice central gay friendly hotels, Men's Resort is exclusively gay men only, but a tuk tuk ride away from the centre of town. River Queen Guest house is a good value gay place on the river.
Saunas aren't really much like Thailand, but the facilities at Men's Resort are the best. Linda spa has good massage with attractive masseurs and the new bar - Barcode - has a spa and massage facilities too. Blue Hatha is a dump but some people enjoy it there.
A tuk tuk for temple touring is $15 a day for the nearby temples and extra for sunrise and the outlying temples. Air-con Camrys start from $25 a day. English speaking guides are $35 a day and drivers can't guide so you'll need both if you want a guide, but a guide is not necessary. A Temple pass is $20 a day or $40 for 3 days.
