I've done all the bars in Sunnee in the last few days and a few of the boys and my nomination for 1st Prize is POWER BOYS.

And this nothwithstanding that the Tom Mamassan is back!

But she has been to Mamassan reform school I think - now she's the epitome of grace -in a clod-hopping sort of way and at least I know she's hasn't dipped into the honey jar for a taste before I have, unlike her ladyboy colleagues.

But it's all about the BOYS.

What an eclectic array of beauty is on show and many new guys to boot!

The largest cock in Sunnee is attached to one of them (2 muks come free) his name is Cue/Que.

Go see for yourself.

"Best Bar" depends on what you are looking for. I was in Power Boys some days ago and saw two boys I liked (number 3 and 30) but other customers were faster calling them over. Overall positive (except for smoking in the bar), will probably go again on my next Pattaya trip.

What is the number of Cue/Que?

I would find it awkward to ask for a boy by name (and there might be more boys of that name, or I mispronounce it), only to find out he is not my type and to dismiss him. With number, I can look for him on stage, paying special attention to his package.

I had heard that "she who must be avoided" had her feathers clipped and no longer is the Harpy she once was.

Please report you findings ! Some months ago I told "her" to her face that farang avoid that bar due to her antics. Some of the bar boys told me that they may switch back to Power Boy now that she has reformed. Yes, even they knew her reputation.

Good to hear Power Boy is back on the upswing. I have had some fun times there and have a couple of "friends" that work as dancers, but during my last visit (Jan) it was pretty bleak. Not many staff and not much fun. I have never had much trouble with any mamason. They pretty much know to ignore me...with a couple of exceptions for the good ones - "Mack" at Nice Boys for example.

I will have to make a point to stop back in at Power Boy during my next visit to see for myself.

Thanks for the update.

I understand that this is "my" award right now so it has to subjective.

Sorry don't know the number but I will find out and post it here.

Really surprised by the award.... Power Boys can have nice boys but certainly the worst mamasang of Pattaya. Her come back sounds like a catastroph...

Further if a boy wants to stop to work there he must pay a 10'000 baths "tax". One of my good friends experienced that a couple weeks ago... So better avoid this bar...

How can you charge an employee for leaving?

fedssocr
March 29th, 2015, 01:01
maybe they have a signed contract

but you hear about that sort of thing in circumstances where people are being trafficked.

yeye62
March 29th, 2015, 03:56
there was no contract. This is a standard in some bars when a boy leaves and wants to come back the bar charges a"fine" but in this case Power Boys applied the system when the boy left.

Fully agree it is very near of traffiking...

colmx

its common and happens in EVERY bar
Basically Boy meets Farang, Farang wants to avoid Off fee and tells the boy to leave the bar... by promising the world etc

1 week later farang goes home, forgets about the boy and boy needs to go back to bar... bar refuses to let them back as basically they colluded with the farang to "do" the bar out of Off fees.. so the 10K is a "fine" for doing the bar out of potential income...

Of course the boy can work elsewhere... but they prefer to work in the bar that their friends work...

to off him.

At the risk of pulling this off-topic: WHO neutered all the tailors?

Que/Cue's number is 2

He has 2 mooks also.

The mook on the right side of his large appendage is shaped like like a prescription capsule (oval) and is about the same size, the one on the left is a small sphere but f-ck does it pinch!

I warn you he has a tattoo on the left side of his throat but don't panic its temporary or so he says.

Have fun.

I read about that mamasan several times on the forum, but on all my visits to Power boys (several last year and one or two this year), I didn't find anyone who matches the description.

However two boys I had from there don't work there any more, they told me they didn't get along with mamasan.

I have been going to Thailand for 4 months every year for at least 11 years. Why have I never heard of this before?

And wasn't Power Boys the dump that was closed by the Authorities when it was Mic My bar?

Another rumour has it that it was closed by authorities and then reopened by the authorities. If this is true Power Boy is presumably a 'special category' dump unlike all the other 'dumps' trading in the same manner in BoyzTown, soi "Twilight", Chiang Mai, Phuket et al.

The rumour about 10,000 bar fines payable by the boys when leaving is shocking but only if it's true.

We have ''Cottaging'' well established in the parlance of the gay- now thanks to this reply we have a new term ''Dumping' which certainly covers me and what I do and maybe many on this forum.

I have personal experience of this and can confirm the principle. For the life of me I canтАЩt remember the amount involved. It was about 9 years ago and in a bar in Hua Hin.

The boy in question worked in the bar and he was my first potential Thai boyfriend. At the time I had little experience of Thailand or its go-go/host bar scene. All my previous boyfriends were from the west and no money was involved. I had a bought a new house and had just bought a new car. I was in the process of furnishing my house, so IтАЩd spent quite a bit of money already and had further outlays ahead of me.

It came as a shock to me that if the boy was to leave the bar and come and live with me I had to pay the bar a lump sum. But with the benefit of hindsight I can see it makes sense for all the reasons described by colmx above. Although in my case I wasnтАЩt simply trying to avoid the off fees, I was planning on a permanent arrangement.

As I said, I canтАЩt remember the sum involved, the figure of 10,000 baht doesnтАЩt ring any bells, but could have been a sizeable sum of say between 5,000 and 10,000 baht. IтАЩm just not sure. But fast forward 9 years and add a busy area such as Pattaya and I think it is not beyond the realms of belief. So the figure of 10,000 baht, as reported by the good friend of yeye62, could be spot on.

In my case, after a week or two of seeing the boy on a daily basis, I decided not to pursue our relationship and permanently take him out of the bar. Too many alarm bells were ringing.

My two cents...

The policy at each bar varies when it comes to this, but in all cases, the bar will get whatever they can from farang punters for their rent boys. I used the term "rent boys" here only to emphasize the true nature of their employment not to demeen their character.

When the time comes that a boy wants to quit his job to either go home or go to work somewhere else, he does not pay any fine to the bar. If the boy is quiting his job at the bar because he plans to go off in the sunset with a farang punter - never to return again - then he does not pay a fine to the bar. If the boy tells the bar owner/manager that he is going off for a long-time with a farang but intends to return to work when the farang leaves town - then the bar expects an "off fee". The amount of the off fee varies from bar-to-bar and can sometimes be negotiated, but the bar always expects to get paid.

What happens quite frequently is the scenerio where a farang punter tells a boy that he will give him the moon as long as he leaves the bar scene. The boy of course agrees to this offer wholeheartedly. Next, the farangs taxi heads to the airport after the honeymoon is over - and the boy returns to the dance stage. In this all-too-common scenerio, the boy had already agreed to pay the bar when he returned and typically uses some of the money he secured from his farang for this purpose.

Another scenerio is where a boy actually leaves his job to embark in a relationship with a farang and the farang ends up dropping him. The boy is then faced with the decision to either return to the same bar where a fine may be imposed - or find another bar to work in. I have seen both of these scenerios play out many times.

The bars are great for short-time fun but the best bet for a farang who wants a long-time off is to find a non-working partner on a dating site such as Gayromeo versus paying heaps of money to a boy rental agency which specializes in short-term policies.

My only experience of this was about six years ago, at a well-regarded Boyztown bar. One of the guys there did his stint in a monastery (three months, I think) and then was not allowed to return to his job unless he paid about 5000 bht. He couldn't afford it and ended up in Dreamboys.

I visited Power boy yesterday, and as the OP stated, I agree that the tomboy mamasan has indeed improved her manners. Still pushy of course, but not in an insane way as in the past.

A close friend of mine with similar taste in lads, confirmed that Power Boys has
vastly improved and now has bigger, masculine boys and lots of them. My last
recollection was mostly thin fem boys and I'm glad to have another option in
Sunee as Krazy Dragon appears to be waning and is available for No key money,
just pay the rent. 40 baht Heineken too good to last.

What, the bar is for sale again? Did the current owners not read the forums or do some research? How is it possible that someone who has the money to buy (rent) such a bar makes such a gross misevaluation about the viability?

Regarding boys returning to bars, it is similar with normal jobs. As there is no or little holiday in Thai work contracts (personal experience, first year of work zero holidays!), Thais have to leave their job when they want to take time off, and cannot return because the position will be filled. But at close to zero unemployment, they can easily find a new job elsewhere. I have several friends who change job several times per year.

It's beyond belief that Russian men who can't speak English don't read the forums.
It's unbelieveable that people run out of money or figure out the business will die
in low season, boys won't work for free and you still have to pay electricity.
It's simply not possible..

I went to Power Boys last night to see the improvements but as we were entering,
the young dyke was smoking a cigarette inside the bar. She approached us and one
friend of mine said to her 'no smoking'. She was flommaxed for a moment and then
went into the 'one drink' plea but we departed and she lost the revenue of several
drinks but I did note several boys that looked fine for another look see on another
night.

The 40b. Heineken special was back on last night at Krazy Dragon but I was worn out
from Sunny Boys and Eros. Not many farangs around Sunee now.

I think Catwampusscat should go on a grand tour of Sunnee and Boystown. He can mince into bars and if he so much as suspects someone has smoked a cigarette since the no smoking law came into force turn around and flounce out.
Let's have a competition to see who can come up with the best line he can scream in a distraught voice as he departs the premesis.
My suggestion.
"SMOKING is demandable in the bedroom but I WON'T have it in your bar Mrs Mamasan."

Actually one of the undesirable side effects of Flomax is loss of libido and sexual arousal so Viagra may cum to the rescue.

If the mamasan in Power Boys is more relaxed now than before, I am surprised she was not a victim of physical violence.
