Thai international travel fair Feb 25 to Mar 1 in Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
http://www.titf-ttaa.com/

Went today. Aimed at Thai people, little advertising or material in English. Most featured country is Japan.
Stalls are by airlines, tour operators, hotels, a bit OTOP and magazines/books.

Learnt something new: Su Tong Pae Bridge р╕кр╕░р╕Юр╕▓р╕Щр╕Лр╕ р╕Хр╕нр╕Зр╣Ар╕Ыр╣Й in Mae Hong Son province must be the second longest wooden bridge in Thailand at about 280 m (my measurement on google maps; Mon Bridge in Sangkhlaburi is about 450 m long and raises much higher above the water).

Then I have missed you, dear was there too-afternoon, for nearly 3 hrs. Ended with a bagful of paper. Did you see the stand for DB/bahn and AirBerlin/Etihad?
Though myself had nicest talks with reps from Yogya and KK (in Sabah/Malaysia) to keep the bahasa alive.

Oh-and next week a same thing, as is the case every year, but aimed at local =domestic tourism, so its mainly all Thai. 1 day less; THU-Sun.
Very good bargains for flying and some hotels.

Yes I did. But they did not sell flights BKK-BER, and promotions cost about the same what I get on checkfelix for budget airlines, from this point of view a loss (I missed out cheap flights days before because I was waiting for the fair!).

Got some material for travel in Thailand and other countries (might be useful for next visa run), but overall of little interest for me. Thanks for mentioning the upcoming fair, will have a look (maybe see you then?).

Went to the travel fair yesterday. Once again, little of interest to the intrepid independent single traveler on a budget like me. Lots of hotels, resorts, tours; but very little information about places to go for sightseeing (for that, go to Tourism Authority of Thailand offices, not to be confused with travel agencies that call themselves "tourist information").
