HI:
I have been to many of the massage places..but never to Adonis - located down Soi Convent near Sathorn Rd.
Their website is really sharp, in detail, makes this place appear to be better than most,,more honest about the actual 1 hour massage (not cut short)
exact tip policy, etc..
Has anyone been to this establishment and can recommend it??
You can send me PM if you so desire...
Thanks..

I can understand your interest judging by the website. The couple of guys pictured are enough to make you want to jump on the next plane to Bangkok. One thing I have learnt about Thailand is that websites are not an accurate reflection of reality. I hope I am wrong. When it comes to massage venues in Bangkok all roads lead to Hero.

I've never had a good "massage" at Adonis, but I've read of others who have. It's simply impossible to generalise about premises who supply boys for sex, whether massage boys or gogo boys. We now to some extent have our expectations of what is a "good" sexual performance defined by pornography whereas in my experience it's the minority of rent boys who can perform to that standard and almost no Thais. If you want raunchy sex the guys to go for are the Japanese.

If on the other hand you're after the one hour massage followed by a hand job then it's as good (or bad) a place as any other.

I visited just once (was very late, so not much choice). Maybe because of that my experience was not very good - mediocre massage and afters.
And if I remember correctly - they use massage tables. I prefer mattress on the floor.

I've had many massages at Adonis and all of them have been good in different ways. The men are a bit more muscular and professional than many places in Bangkok. I advise talking to the manager about what you want before you choose one of the men. For me Adonis is in the top 30% of massage shops I have tried, with Bonnies, Prince and Senso up there with it. And BBB Inn has always been fun, as was Body Club before it sadly closed.

I visited once on my first trip to BKK many years ago (2006).

Hopefully they've cleaned the showers since then. The most vivid memory I have is of the amount of mold in the shower.

There was a big selection of boys in the late afternoon. The boy I picked was very cute. His massage technique was not bad, but way too hard for me. My calves were killing me for days afterwards. I stopped him in the middle and asked him to go less hard, but my nealy-non-existent Thai combined with his understanding of English made communication difficult. I recall the post massage fun as being fine. Not mind-blowing but about par for the course in such a place.

Mostly agree with loveTH. In all such places-and BKK still has well over 40, it does remain a gamble/lotteree. And the palces that score in average better I will not mention here-plus that they all are well out of the areas the tipical newbee tourist is able to find his way around. Price has nothing to do with quality, like in most other things too in TH.

I was there recently, room was a bit dated and that room didn't have a shower in it, had a good massage by Kob (I think that was his name), nice big cock on him and he loves to drive it deep and often. I got to Adonis around 3pm and there were only about 6 boys on duty but all very nice with built bodies, no twinks in sight at that time and all were willing to top. 90 minute massage and a good shagging, will definitely go back but much prefer Hero though and Prince came in a close second.

Adonis Massage & Caf├й has been on my list of massage parlours to visit for some time. IтАЩve passed it many a time on the way to the BNH Hospital or the Fan Club Massage (Is this place still trading? The website appears to be still active.) on Soi Convent. So a couple of days ago I decided to bite the bullet and pay it a long overdue visit.

Crikey! It was clear from the moment I walked through the entrance that I hadnтАЩt missed much. I immediately felt that a prosecution under the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 (had I been in the UK) would have stood a good chance of success. There were four тАШboysтАЩ available at the time I arrived, around 06:30pm. The most generous thing I can say is . . . they were a motley crew.

I sat down thinking, oh my God, how do I get out of this one? The receptionist explained that it would cost 600 baht for one hour oil massage and the minimum tip for the masseur was 1,000 baht. None of them interested me in the least. Now how was I going to make a quick exit without causing any undue offence or loss of face? They all looked fairly masculine, so I said I was really looking for a lady-boy, feminine type, thinking I was on safe ground. The receptionist pointed out a masseur who could bottom for me. тАЬOh, no,тАЭ I said, тАЬhe is not feminine enough for me.тАЭ тАЬPerhaps another timeтАЭ I said, hopefully.

I then made a quick exit having a plan тАШBтАЩ back-up strategy ready to fall back on. I headed off towards The Prince Massage & Spa, on Suan Phlu, Soi 6, which IтАЩve visited twice before and, on both occasions, had a fantastic experience. It is a short 10-15 minute walk away from Soi Convent.

Now kommentariat, if any place was in need of a fresh intake of [├м-s─Гan] farm boys willing to be sodomised, it was this joint. IтАЩd happily volunteer to go up into the north-east with the owner on a recruiting campaign and personally road test the boys myself to ensure they were up to the required standard. Heck, IтАЩd even pay my own expenses as a sign of my commitment to quality standards in massage. ;)

Sadly though, my story doesnтАЩt have a happy ending. In fact, much to my surprise, it turned out rather badly. But that, as they say, is a story for another day.

Sad to read that. In Adonis I had my first Thai sex massage some years ago with this cute and shy Isaan boy. They used to have more than 15 boys of all different types. However, I hope this decline is not a trend, as I was disappinted about my visit of Fan Club in November 2014, too. Only 3 boys available that time.

Fan Club Massage (Is this place still trading? The website appears to be still active.)
Closed around December. The owner posted a note saying it was due to constant harassment from the BIB. Assuming that's true, I cant help feeling that the massively homophobic owner of the French restaurant across the soi, Indigo, may not be entirely innocent. He never made any attempt to hide his loathing of a gay massage joint being within a few meters of his dining establishment.

I have visited Indigo a few times with gay friends but failed to notice anything "massively homophobic", but on two visits to Fan Club my impression has been the owner couldn't organise a fuck in a brothel because most of the staff seemed to spend their time on their smartphones trying to organise their fucks off-site on their own time - not a very profitable way to run a business!

standard disclaimer - your mileage may vary

I reckon I've eaten there at least a dozen times. Apart from one Christmas meal, I have always enjoyed the food. The service, though, is rarely up to even average. This seems to be a recurrent problem mentioned on tripadviser reviews.

When the owner is there, he's drunk much of the time and generally drinking with some of his French pals. I have no issue with that as long as he keeps himself to himself. One time I was dining with two gay friends. One arrived slightly late and then had to wait about 20 minutes for his drink to turn up. He made a very mild general comment and left it at that. Soon the owner was at our table and a major argument ensued. Were we not in the middle of our main dishes, we'd have got up and left.

On a later occasion, he happened to be in the garden area. He was perfectly polite when saying goodbye to us, but then followed us to the gate whereupon he started ranting about the fucking disturbances to his business caused by having a fucking gay place across the soi. He then 'shooed' the boys who were sitting outside attempting to get them to go inside.

I believe Nirish made some very negative comments about the owner on another forum a couple of years back.
