Bangkok: Massage parlours and a go-go bar

This is not exactly a trip report, more a long ramble about my experiences of visiting three massage parlours and one go-go bar in Bangkok, which occurred during my present 9 week visit.

Hero MenтАЩs Fitness Club

ItтАЩs a little bit of a trek for me to get across to Nana, on Sukumvit Soi 11, but it is usually well worth it. IтАЩve been there twice recently. On the first occasion when presented with around 20-30 manly looking guys I found it easy to choose the one I wanted. IтАЩll admit to finding this process rather embarrassing. I tend to feel too pressured with everyone looking at me. It seems like there are only seconds in which to make a decision, unlike in a go-go bar where you can take as long as you like to decide which boy you want, well as long as thereтАЩs no Uriah Heep lookalike pestering you (See later).

Anyway, I opted for a straight masseur, the gay ones didnтАЩt appeal to me. He was not overly muscly, mid-twenties and not too tall, just very cute.

It went really well from the beginning. I think itтАЩs usually a good sign when the masseur showers with you. For me, it puts me at my ease and immediately breaks down the barriers. In this case I could feel him getting aroused, which is definitely a good sign of things to come.

I enjoyed the massage and when it came to body-to-body the masseur was hard and I had a great second-half session. Afterwards he helped me shower, which I think should be mandatory, unless the customer prefers to shower on this own. I paid 700 baht for a one hour oil massage. The minimum tip was 1,000 baht, but I tipped 1,500 baht because I thoroughly enjoyed the session and would happily see the masseur again.

I returned to Hero the following week, but much to my disappointment, when I asked for the masseur (whom IтАЩd had the previous week) by name I was told he was not present. They even тАШphoned him, but, no, he wasnтАЩt coming in that day. Oh, that was a bummer! Again, there were 20-30 masseurs available and, despite taking longer to look at the boys than usual, because there were other customers in the process of choosing a masseur and therefore no pressure on me, I felt there was no one there that I could even remotely fancy. I looked round several times and thought, why choose someone you donтАЩt find attractive just for the sake of it. So I made the decision to leave (the first time IтАЩve done this in a massage parlour) and decided to get the sky-train back to Silom and go to Fan Club massage.

Fan Club Massage & Spa for Men

I ended up in Fan Club massage in Soi Convent, off Silom Road. IтАЩve been at this massage parlour many times. Sometimes IтАЩve had a great time and sometimes IтАЩve had just a so-so time. Of course, it all depends on the connection you make with the masseur, his experience and professionalism. There wasnтАЩt actually a great selection of boys available, fewer than 10 IтАЩd say, from memory. On this occasion I chose a gay masseur. He seemed handsome enough and I thought he would be fun.

Ah тАж disappointment set in when he told me to shower alone. Hmmm not a good sign I thought.

The massage was okay, nothing truly erotic or stimulating and no body-to-body massage, which I really enjoy. When it came to the second half, the masseur had a very small cock which never got hard, so there was no possibility of him having a happy ending, no matter what I did, so I gave up! I found this disappointing as I like it to be a mutually enjoyable experience. I was determined to make the best of a bad situation and I had a happy ending.

I was further disappointed when he told me I should shower alone. As I said above, I think the masseur should always shower with the customer, as you are either covered in oils or cream and itтАЩs a lot easier to wash if off with someone assisting. And, importantly, itтАЩs a lovely end to a session where you have been so intimate with each other. Perhaps I should have insisted? Never done that before. Do I even have the right to? There have been many occasions in the past where Fan Club masseurs have showered with me. Is it not part of the training and standard practice. Who knows?

I paid 700 baht for a one hour oil massage. The minimum tip is 1,000 baht. I think it would be difficult to pay less, no matter how bad the service. So is the masseur always guaranteed 1,000 baht despite a poor performance? Well, I gave him 1,000 baht and thanked him in a half-hearted manner. He looked mildly disappointed. Why I wondered? Sometimes I think the receptionist should ask for some feedback on the masseurтАЩs performance, otherwise, how does the management know if their staff are performing well?

The Prince MenтАЩs Spa

There are around 5 massage joints within walking distance of my apartment building and there are, surprisingly, still a few I havenтАЩt yet visited. So I thought during my current visit to Thailand IтАЩd try and rectify that omission.

Although The Prince, on Suan-plu, Soi 6, off Sathorn Road, is within walking distance, I took a motorcycle taxi there and back. It was my first visit.

I was really impressed when I arrived, I didnтАЩt expect it to be so big and so plush. And there was a larger selection of masseurs, perhaps 20-30 guys, than I had expected. They were the same sort of manly looking guys you get at Hero, but more to my taste and I could easily have selected almost any of them.

It didnтАЩt take me long to choose my masseur, he looked so cute, but was not gay. No matter, as long as he could do what is required.

The room was very nice and the shower in good condition. I was asked to shower on my own. Hmmm a little disappointing. The masseur returned then showered after me. He carried out the massage naked and, from time to time, I could feel his semi-erect cock touching me. Aaah тАж that was a good sign! The massage was good, it then became very erotic and very stimulating. When it came to body-to-body I could feel he was hard. Excellent! To cut a long story short I had a great time and it appeared that the masseur also enjoyed himself. And he was quite affectionate afterwards.

Great! We showered together and he really did a good job of washing all the cream off me. It was a delightful experience and I would certainly go back.

One hour cream massage was 800 baht and the minimum tip is 1,000 baht. I paid the masseur 1,500 baht and went away feeling gloriously happy.

At the end of the Soi I found a motorcycle taxi, hmmm the driver was so cute. He did brake rather suddenly on a couple of occasions and I found myself sliding closer to him and pressing up against his back, completely by accident of course. When he dropped me off at my condo I wanted to invite him up, but have never attempted such a thing. So I left it as a fantasy тАж maybe one day IтАЩll pluck up the courage and see what happens.

But how odd, out of three massages, I enjoyed my time with the two straight guys and was disappointed with the gay guy.

I was going to end my post here, but thought I would add on an account of my first off in a Bangkok go-go bar this trip which took place last night.

New Classic Bar

This bar is located at the top of soi-bpratuu-chai (aka as Soi Twilight) off Surawong Road. This was actually my second visit this trip, but during my first visit with another forum member, we just had a drink and a look at the go-go boys. During that visit I spotted one lad in particular who looked just my type and we made eye contact. So, when we left, I walked up to the stage and tipped him 100 baht.

A week later I returned to the bar on my own with the express intention of trying to off the guy.

Most of the mamasans/captains know me from many previous visits over the years. But they have a new captain who treated me like a newbie, so I acted as such for the fun of it. He was the Thai equivalent of Uriah Heep, he clung to me like a nasty rash тАж LOL!

Heep: You want a boy?

JB: Now look here Heep, IтАЩve just walked through the door, give me 5 minutes.

Heep: We have many boys. What boy you want?

JB: Hmmm . . .

Heep: They can do everything.

JB: What? Have you had sex with all the boys? Disgusting!

Heep: Oh, no, no, no! I am captain my job to know information.

Well, my instincts were correct, the lad turned out to be everything I had hoped and he remembered me from the previous week. His English wasnтАЩt too bad, he was talkative, friendly and very affectionate. IтАЩll happily see him again and, based on one night, he does have definite possibilities for the long term. But as I now have only 8 days left thereтАЩs little point in even trying to get into anything too deep. I wonтАЩt be back again until February 2015.

The drinks cost 350 baht x 2. Bar fine 600 baht = 1,300 baht. And I paid the lad 1,600 baht (although the going rate is 2,000 for short-time) with the promise that I would happily see him again. He gave me his telephone number, which is always a good sign. I was genuinely sorry to see him leave.

But for me a night out to the go-go bars is a little expensive. I paid out a total of 2,950 baht, including taxi fare home. Now, had I visited a number of bars and was on a 2 or 3 week holiday paying out that level of money every night, it could add up to a tidy sum. Are you still with us Tobi? Well, this might not seem like a lot of money to you, (just joking!) but it is certainly not within my means. So what I usually do is to come to some arrangement with the bar boy to see him on his day off or before he starts work in the evening. This lad indicated he would like to go out for dinner or come round and use our swimming pool. So from little acorns . . .

Jelly, I loved your report. I've penciled those places in for when I get back to Bangkok in a couple of weeks I'm always willing to try new places. And I like the fact that all the guys were manly - right up my alley, do to speak. i think 1500 baht is fair enough if you've had a good time with the guy. That's what I pay in Bangkok. (1000~1300 in Pattaya).

Oh, and keep in good with Tobi; he might be able to offer you a loan. After all, he's been trying to have a lend of us...lol

I spend only part of the year here in Bangkok latintopxxx. IтАЩll be returning to the UK in 8 days. I know, seems strange to be going in the wrong direction, but I have my pre-ops on 30 December and my 14th reconstructive surgery on 7 January 2015.

I would say that you were being a little unfair in saying, all that is on offer is тАЬa massage and a tickleтАЭ. I donтАЩt know what others get up to, but I have the тАШwhole packageтАЩ in most cases. I regard the massage part as a very welcome form of extended foreplay, which I donтАЩt always get when I bring boys back from the bars, as I am usually expected to start the ball rolling, as it were.

But, importantly, if the massage parlour states that the minimum tip is 1,000 baht, how then do you get around paying less than that figure? I have this image of you being man handled by the boys, hung from your feet and shaken until the required 1,000 baht drops out of your pockets. LOL!

I tip the guys whatever I think is appropriate, and never ever give a thought about other farang. I'm doing it for the guy who has given me so much pleasure, not other farang I don't even know.

Thanks for your report. I know all these places, I would call them mid to high class, not my area of research. I prefer low to mid class, which often have the advantage that masseurs sit outside (i.e. you can have a look while walking past, which I very much prefer to entering and line-up), and the disadvantage that shower is in the hallway (i.e. no showering together).

You tip very generously. I find 1000 Baht for 1 hour oil massage with happy ending appropriate and never tipped more for massage. Recent off at New Classic Boys and Screw Boys got 1500 for short time (I think I even asked mamasan before offing how much would be expected, and I got this number in both cases).

I paid a miserable 500 baht more than the minimum tip of 1,000 baht . . . and in Bangkok of all places! DidnтАЩt you read my post about the Irishman who was paying out 20,000 baht each to the four or five Thais at his party? DonтАЩt you recall me posting about an Asian customer of Dreamboys Bar, Bangkok who paid a boy 10,000 baht for a night out? And, maybe I havenтАЩt posted this, canтАЩt recall now, but a Thai friend, an ex-bar boy, was given 700,000 baht by a grateful German customer . . . no, not that one, donтАЩt be ridiculous! LOL!

Oooh, err . . . whatever are you implying Fran├зois? As I said at the time, they clearly mistook me for some other whoremonger, err . . . I mean . . . customer. Yes, I know, you questioned why at every bar we passed they appeared to know me. The only plausible explanation I can come up with is that I must have a lookalike. ;)

I did however enjoy my 3 nights out in Pattaya when you showed me some of your favourite haunts. I particularly enjoyed our dinners and meeting some other members of this and other forums. I may post about my experiences at a later date.

Ah, but ChristianPFC, you are young, handsome and I dare say quite a catch for the boys. Whereas I am old, disfigured and therefore have greater reason to be grateful. LOL! In the two cases mentioned above, where I paid 1,500 baht, I honestly believed they deserved that little bit extra recognition as a sign of how much I appreciated their performance.

Some of you guys don't get it. at places like Hero, Prince and several others, the MINIMUM tip is 1000 baht. If you don't want to avail yourself of their services then you don't have to pay that much, but for those who do enjoy those places and the boys available, I consider it appropriate.

Thanks for your post a447, I couldnтАЩt have put it better myself. I would however add that IтАЩve never considered myself a тАЬvictimтАЭ, more a survivor; a cancer survivor. And yes, I do consider myself grateful, very grateful. Every morning, over the last 12 years, IтАЩve felt grateful for every new day I was never meant to see. I feel grateful that I am able to live in Thailand for 5-6 months of the year. And, as I mentioned in my earlier reply to the post made by ChristianPFC, yes, I do feel grateful that, despite my appearance, IтАЩve been able to have lots of fun with Thai, and other Asian, guys over the last 9 or 10 years. Something I thought impossible 12 years ago. I think a тАШvictimтАЩ would have stayed at home and wallowed in his misery.

Thanks also to marti for stating the bleeding obvious. I mentioned that the tip in the massage places I visited is called a minimum tip several times, it couldnтАЩt have been any clearer. I even posed the question: What if you consider the service was so poor that it didnтАЩt deserve the minimum tip? Although, in my case, it wasnтАЩt so bad that the masseur deserved less than 1,000 baht. I did, after all, have a happy ending. And I could have asked him to shower with me, so perhaps the fault (if any) lay with me not being more outspoken. The worst that could have happened is that the masseur could have said тАШnoтАЩ.

Oh, and one thing I did not mention in my OP is that in the Fan Club, they ask you to settle the tip with the masseur in the private room. So, I suppose, it is possible to try giving a lesser tip if you feel the massage etc., wasnтАЩt worth it. Although, to be frank, I just canтАЩt imagine me doing such a thing at that late stage. If it was really that bad, I would have stopped тАШproceedingsтАЩ at the point I thought things were going wrong. I actually did this in a massage joint in тАШSoi TwilightтАЩ before we even got started, but thatтАЩs, as they say, another story!

And lastly, I for one am beginning to miss dear old Tobi. Things around here have been rather quiet since he stopped posting. Maybe we were a bit too harsh on him? :-?

2.more interesting is (yes, I read Thai) that in many off the tourist-area places the minimum (if stated at all) is only in english and often not in Thai. On Thai fora re quality of m2m boys, they always only talk about ''tip''.

When I return in February I plan to visit more massage parlours. There are a few in the Silom Road area which IтАЩve still not visited. I also see there are a few in the Lat-Prao area. I once had a boyfriend who lived in that part of Bangkok and recall it is a bit of a trek to get there. But in the interests of research, not personal gratification you understand, IтАЩm willing to put on my backpack and head up there into the unknown. ;)

Screw Boy Bar

On Monday night I had early evening drinks at Balcony Bar on Silom Soi 4 with another forum member and his boyfriend. We then walked across the soi and had dinner at the Telephone Bar, always good value for money, especially when someone else is paying . . . LOL! Thanks guys for picking up the tab, IтАЩll be sure to reciprocate when I come back. As they headed home I thought, now how shall I finish off the night? Ah-ha, Screw Boy Bar immediately came to mind.

It really was the only other bar I wanted to fit in, in the short time I still have available. It is located on Patpong Soi 1, opposite the Montien Hotel, off Surawong Road.

IтАЩd read from other posters that the boys still wear skimpy underwear (black and white checks actually) unlike the more mainstream bars in тАШSoi TwilightтАЩ. And, I can happily report that is still the case as at 15 December. This was the first time IтАЩd been in the bar since its renovation, which I must say I prefer to the old set up. The stage is now to the right as you walk in and lower than the one I remember. The overall feel was, in my view, much better, more inviting. Although, having said that, some members might find the dance music too loud. I however thought, hmmm . . . why doesnтАЩt DJ Station play music like this?

The mamasan greeted me as if we were long lost friends. Probably another case of mistaken identity I thought. LOL!

There were around 10 boys available when I walked in around 09:20pm. I thought there was a good selection of boys to suit most tastes, from manly to thinner, twinky, types. I could easily have offтАЩd the majority of boys available, but not having the money or the stamina for a night of such wicked debauchery involving so many boys I honed my attention on to one boy. I was immediately struck by his cuteness. I wouldnтАЩt say he could be described as my usual taste. He was thinner, younger and smaller than the guys I would normally off. But he had a great and very welcoming smile and that did it for me.

Showtime is billed as 11:00pm and 01:30am, but I didnтАЩt hang around long enough to see the show.

After ordering my drink, cost 300 baht, I lost no time in asking the boy to come and sit with me. There have been many occasions when IтАЩve been indecisive and either lost the boy to another customer or IтАЩve dithered so long that IтАЩve lost my confidence. The boy was very dark skinned and the contrast between us was striking. But it was of no consequence to me, although he commented on it. He was very affectionate, lots of cuddles right from the start. Right, I thought, donтАЩt hang around, I liked him, he was as cute as a button, so I asked the mamasan about prices. The bar fine is 500 baht and 1,500 baht short-time tip for the boy. Yep, thatтАЩll do for me, so I quickly agreed. After a further short period of chatting I suggested he go and get changed. I paid the bill, 2 drinks x 300 baht + 500 baht bar fine = 1,100 baht. Not too bad I thought, considering itтАЩs Bangkok.

The boy was very affectionate outside the bar walking towards Silom Road to catch a taxi. He held my hand and put his arm round me. He had a very warm personality and I knew I was going to have a good time with him.

Before we had even gone to bed we exchanged telephone numbers and he worked some techy magic using a sort of barcode so we could swap our LINE app numbers.

I certainly had a very good time with him, I couldnтАЩt fault him one bit. For someone so young, 19 years old, he managed to tick all the right boxes. I really couldnтАЩt have asked for a better time. I tipped the boy the agreed 1,500 baht and added 100 baht to cover taxis (something I always do). The sad thing is, I donтАЩt think IтАЩll have any time left to see him again. Hmmm . . . well, weтАЩll see.

Inter MustacheтАЩs House

This place is advertised as a cocktail lounge and is spelt exactly as quoted above. It is located a bit off the beaten track at Sukumvit Soi 10, between BTS Nana and BTS Asok. I went there with ChristianPFC after we had dinner at a restaurant in Sukumvit Soi 8. I used BTS Nana station.

At the time of the visit I couldnтАЩt recall hearing about it before, but as I was drafting this post I now have a vague memory of it being previously mentioned on the forum. It is also advertised in some of the local gay magazines. Yesterday I looked at their advert in the gay magazine Desire, which shows photos of 10 boys, one of whom looks like the manager.

It is quite far from the main commercial gay scene of the Silom/Surawong bars and a longish walk from BTS Nana station. The bar was rather dark, but quite well furnished. We were warmly greeted on arrival by the doorman and the manager. We were asked if we were interested in seeing the boys dancing, some of whom were sitting in the shadows towards the back of the bar. They were dressed in street clothes.

After agreeing to see the boys, we were ushered upstairs to a really plush seating area with a stage and dancing poles. The manager then asked us what we would like to drink. I ordered a water, ChristianPFC ordered a pineapple juice, which they didnтАЩt have, so he ordered an orange juice instead. The manager quite brazenly, in my opinion, asked if he could have a drink, we both refused his request. The boys from downstairs then appeared in rotation on the stage in their underwear, sort of semi-gyrating around the poles, but not exactly pole dancing as IтАЩve seen it on TV. I have in mind the Bada Bing Club in The Sopranos.

The manager asked us if we wanted a boy . . . oh no, I thought, not another annoying Uriah Heep! One rather thin boy approached us and sat next to me. I thought he was more ChristianтАЩs type and suggested he sit with Christian. The manager was becoming a bit of a pest and rather annoying, I quite fancied him, but wished he would leave off the hard sell. He was rather more my type, older, chunkier and, as I discovered, with hairy legs and a little hair line above his belt which he kindly let me examine.

While talking with the manager I kept an eye on the stage behind him and it appeared there were only 4 boys in the bar, one of whom I quite liked. Had I been out on my own, I might have considered offing him. I may have even chatted with the boy if the damned manager had left us alone for a few minutes! LOL!

According to the manager, the bar is the original male go-go bar in Bangkok and has been running for 32 years. Sorry, I canтАЩt quite recall the full details. Christian will write his own report on his blog, which will, undoubtedly, be more detailed than this post.

While Christian chatted to the thin boy, I engaged the manager in conversation and eventually relented on his persistent requests for a drink. Well, I reasoned, had he been a boy chatting with me in any other bar IтАЩd have to buy him a drink.

We were then told that the boys did massage upstairs if we were interested. We enquired about the cost and I was surprised (or more accurately, shocked) when he said the all in cost was 2,000 baht! God only knows how Blueskytoday would have reacted, especially if he has a dodgy ticker! LOL! We both said it was too expensive and I quoted the prices I had recently been quoted at massage parlours. The manager said that the price included the boyтАЩs tip, yes, but I still thought it was too expensive given its distant location and absence of customers. I felt the prices should have been much cheaper and competitive in order to attract customers away from the more popular Silom/Surawong area. Anyway, for me, it was all academic, as I had just eaten I wasnтАЩt really interested in having a massage, but I was keen to obtain details of the price structure should I decide to return at some future date.

We then asked about off fees. The bar fine is 600 baht and the charge for a short-time is 1,500 baht and 2,000 baht for long-time, which is cheaper than тАШSoi TwilightтАЩ go-go bars, but the same as Screw Boy Bar.

Although we saw only 4 boys the manager assured us he had a pool of 14-15 boys. We were the only customers present at the time that we could see.

The manager then asked me for another drink . . . oh, come on, I thought, youтАЩre taking the piss! No, he couldnтАЩt, I said emphatically. His first drink, a rather small glass of watery looking coke cost 150 baht, which heтАЩd knocked back in a few short minutes. Okay, by Bangkok standards not expensive, but he really was pushing it by asking for a second drink when we had hardly touched our drinks.

I was beginning to feel that his constant presence was becoming quite oppressive, although Christian was amused at my discomfort and didnтАЩt understand why I had bought him a drink in the first place. I asked the manager if he would give us some time on our own. He gave us just a few minutes then returned. Oh, for fuckтАЩs sake, give us a break I thought! Again, I had to ask him to give us some space.

In the short interval we were allowed to be on our own we both agreed we were not interested in a massage or offing a boy that night and decided to leave. We paid our bills, 300 baht for me and, surprisingly, 200 baht for ChristianтАЩs orange juice.

The side soi and the bar itself reminded me of being in Chiang Mai. I recall visiting a similar bar over 7 years ago, which I think is now closed. BonTong, with his great knowledge of all things Chiang Mai, might be able to refresh my memory. The bar was a short dtuk-dtuk drive from Free Boy Bar. The boys in that bar were also dressed in street clothes, then later on, they changed down to their underwear and appeared on stage in rotation. I canтАЩt recall now if there was a show in the bar.

But despite the ubiquitous and irritating manager, IтАЩll certainly consider returning on my own at a future date. There are a number of boys in the advertising photo whom I would definitely consider to be my type. So, if you havenтАЩt already visited Inter MustacheтАЩs House, I would say itтАЩs worth a visit so that you can judge its merits for yourself.

I think you are being generous with your assessment of Inter MustacheтАЩs House. I have been twice, only four boys each time. The picture in their advert might be years old, and the boys long gone.

Arena Spa & Massage

This report concerns yet another massage parlour within walking distance of my apartment building, which I had not visited before.

Arena Spa & Massage is located in Silom Plaza on Silom Road, just past the intersection of Naradhiwas Road on the left-hand side travelling down from BTS Sala-Daeng. In the plaza you take the escalator up to the first floor, walk straight ahead and you canтАЩt miss it on the right.

Dear-oh-dear, well thatтАЩs what I was thinking as I walked through the door. This massage joint had clearly seen better times. I couldnтАЩt help but contrast it to my earlier visit to The Prince MenтАЩs Spa, Sathorn.

Facing me were between 12 and 15 manly, well-toned guys using some gym equipment or watching TV and, I think, using computers. They all stripped to the waist and urged me to pick one of them. I asked the manager if there were any gay guys present in the line-up. He pointed to one guy, he was nice enough, but a little too tall for my taste. I chose a smaller, gay-for-pay straight masseur with ripped abs and tight jeans.

I told the manager I wanted a one hour oil massage, which cost 490 baht. He told me the minimum tip for the masseur is 500 baht. If however I wanted тАЬextrasтАЭ the minimum tip is increased to 1,000 baht.

My masseur indicated we should go upstairs to the room, but I needed to use the toilet before we started. Crikey! What a horrific sight the toilets were. I canтАЩt recall seeing such disgusting toilets in a Thai gay bar or massage joint before. I think they really need to take some drastic action to clean them up. I tried to ignore the squalor, have a pee and get out of there and up to the room as quickly as possible.

The room had a high table, with a small shower in the corner with a plastic shower curtain.

I had a brief chat with the masseur while undressing, after which he asked me to shower. I showered alone, not sure if there was room for two. He didnтАЩt leave and shower elsewhere, as sometimes happens in other places, but remained in the room where IтАЩd left my clothes. He had removed his clothes and had a towel wrapped around his waist by the time I emerged from the shower.

Following the report by a447 of the theft of his watch at a Pattaya massage parlour IтАЩve made a point of not taking a watch, mobile phone or any other valuables when going for a massage. And I take only as much cash as IтАЩm likely to need. I judge there is no point in placing temptation in the masseurтАЩs way. On this occasion I had nothing to worry about.

The massage part was very good, although a little bit rough to begin with. I thought perhaps I had inadvertently asked for the S&M session by mistake. Only joking!

Happily the light conditions were bright enough for me to see the masseur, but not too bright to frighten him and put him off his stroke! LOL! In some places the light level can be too dark. It also struck me as unusual that there was no background music. The room was eerily silent, apart from the ticking of the clock. Then, from time to time, we heard some distant loud cheers from the boys downstairs. I later found out they were watching the Thailand v Malaysia football match.

To break the silence the masseur asked me the occasional question. I also tend to indicate by a series of тАШoohsтАЩ and тАШaahsтАЩ or complementary comments if the masseur does something that I particularly like. I believe it breaks the tension and acts as a reassuring indicator that the masseur is doing a good job. IтАЩm relatively new to this game, so still learning the etiquette of how to behave in massage parlours.

The masseur was good at his job and he proceeded very smoothly to part two with lots of very gentle, erotic and stimulating moves. We both had a very happy ending and I felt quite exhausted at the end.

I showered alone again, I wasnтАЩt really disappointed given the shortage of space, but I would have appreciated his assistance in removing the oils.

We proceeded downstairs where I paid for the massage and handed the masseur a well-earned 1,000 baht tip.

I walked back to my apartment building and was home in 10-15 minutes feeling totally satisfied. But with so many other massage parlours available, I donтАЩt think IтАЩll be heading back at Arena any day soon.

The Prince MenтАЩs Spa, Sathorn

I did say in an earlier post that I also wanted to visit Adonis Massage in Soi Convent, Silom. A place I havenтАЩt visited before, but as it was my last night, I decided IтАЩd rather go somewhere I had previously had a pleasant time than risk a bad experience. So, I returned to The Prince in Suan-plu, Soi 6, off South Sathorn Road.

The boys must have seen me pass by the large outside window, because by the time IтАЩd taken off my shoes and walked through the front door, they were all standing behind a large glass screen facing me with their tops off. Quite a welcome I thought! And, in my opinion, the facilities are so much better than at Arena.

I didnтАЩt have time to sit and count the actual number of masseurs available, but IтАЩd say there was between 20 and 30 guys. Again, all very manly types. I went with the intention of selecting a different masseur from the last time, but the one guy who stuck out the most was that very same masseur, so I again chose him.

I again opted for the cream massage, I think I prefer it to oil. Cost 800 baht for 1 hour and the minimum tip, as IтАЩve mentioned before, is 1,000 baht.

The experience with the masseur was very enjoyable, perhaps even better than last time. A very good, relaxing and pleasing first half, which slowly moved on to the more erotic and stimulating second half. IтАЩve said in my earlier posts, I like the body-to-body part and, as before, the masseur got hard during this stage and it was very encouraging to hear him making noises indicating that he too was enjoying himself.

It was a great way to spend my last night. It could not have been better. Afterwards we spent some time cuddled up, relaxing and catching our breaths. I really donтАЩt like when the masseur immediately springs off the bed or table and urges the customer to shower. It strikes be as far too clinical and ruins what has proceeded before. But thatтАЩs just my view.

We then showered together and, as before, he was diligent in washing off all the cream.

After paying the 800 baht I was asked to sit down on a sofa and was handed a small glass of orange juice. I paid the masseur 1,500 baht, and to my surprise, he then embraced me. ItтАЩs the first time IтАЩve known a masseur to show affection outside of the private room.

Well, that brings to an end my report on my visits to three Bangkok go-go bars and three massage parlours. IтАЩm now heading back home and wonтАЩt be back in Bangkok until February 2015.

I also went to Inter Moustache back in the 80's. There was an advert in 'What's on in Bangkok' but it was a bit hard to find at the end of a side street.

Agree with other posters. However, back then there were cushions to sit on upstairs.

On my only visit one customer was leaving as I arrived. After he had gone I found a wallet where he had been sitting and handed it to the mama san. I wonder what happened to it.

I took a boy from there, but when I came out of the shower I noticed him putting his wallet back into his jeans.

When he went for a shower I checked my wallet, surprise, surprise my credit card was missing, so I checked his pockets, sure enough it was there.

I was going to kick him out but decided to wait until after we had finished before doing so. Later I regretted that I did not check the other contents of his wallet, it could have saved another punter a lot if grief.

This was the first of only two occasions that I have had any of my things taken in Thailand

The Prince must be in the same premises that, some years ago, was named QC Massage, or something similar.
They used to give out flyers at the entrance to Soi Twilight. Vaguely recall going there once.

Am I right? Has it been remodelled significantly?
