As a British man I just cannot resist the chance to talk about the weather!!!

I was in Thailand for the whole of the month of August last year and the weather was fine. Very little rain, although rather hot!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

skyone: Keep in mind last year had sub-normal amounts of rain, and in fact, the region suffered a significant water shortage due, in part, to scarce rainfall. In a "normal" (average?) August it does rain. Often rains daily, but not all day long -- usually for an hour or so a couple times a day, so you can still get out and about, and even work on a tan, but be prepared to be a bit mobile. :-)
