By far, my favorite -- predominately Thai seafood -- restaurant is J'Toom .... made this map for the location .... with three land marks .... the Jomtien Hanuman statue, the Jomtien Market and Immigration .... the soi that the restaurant is on is two sois after the Jomtien Market ..... have eaten there often over the years and have NEVER had anything but high quality, delicious food.

Please share your experience. Is it expensive?

It's not noticeably expensive, I think you can get a lovely meal for under $15 per head. They do both Thai and western food. Of course, the more people you go with the more dishes you can eat. But as a venue it's so much more than the food. The location is stunning, right on the beach. The music is light, not too loud and endlessly relaxing. Down on the sand there are tables, big comfy sofas and indeed beds if you fancy a nap while listening to the lapping waves. B-)

It's also a wonderful place to have a coffee during the day or a sundowner before a night out.

It is, in my opinion, one of those oh so rare things in life. Perfect.

Natans on Thrappaya Raod immediately past the Hunniman Statue going down towards the beach on the left. Thai and Farang.

And opposite, for awesome (English Style) Fish and Chips, is Simons Fish Bar.

The Glass House got some mixed reviews on Trip Advisor from Excellent to Terrible. Everyone seemed to like the location but poor service was the biggest complaint.

Francois: Thinking back you're probably right about service sometimes being a little lax. But I forgive them because Asian waiters/waitresses in general have a habbit of staring into the middle distance for minutes on end. It would be a lovely place to spend the day on the beach if you fancied a change from Dongtan.

I used to like PIC Kitchen , both for its food and ambiance. Has anyone been there recently?

For good cheap Thai food and convenience to Boystown I like the large open fronted place just on the right hand side as you turn right from Second Road on to South Pattaya Road walking towards Beach Road their Duck is fantastic. Only issue their is that whilst most of the staff are really friendly they have one Thai woman who simply stares in a pretty evil way at my self and I noticed many other western customers, if she bring the food she literally slams it down on the table, have complained before and they avoid her serving me but a bit off putting! Otherwise for higher end Thai food agree with earlier poster that PIC Kitchen is very good, or in my view you cant beat the Hot Rock Steaks at the East Suite Restaurant in Jomtien - but then that's not really very Thai!
