Interesting, wouldn't kick him out of bed to let my dog in.

The language in the beginning looks like Vietnamese. Don't know what RTF means, and didn't find an answer on the internet. The website retrai.net doesn't exist any more, but archive has a copy, it's in Vietnamese:

Thanks for the link. It appears that ephebophilia is not necessarily a pathology. The media mogol from Aus directs all his editors and sub-editors that the term "pedo" is to be used extensively where gays are involved in sex scandals. The b-astard also refused to deal in Euros but he had to climb down on that one when S. Ireland became part of the Sky regional service. This is off the point but full marks to the British parliament for dragging his fat ass and the ass of his son before a commission arising out of the phone tapping of the parents of a murdered child by one of his newspapers.

Following your off track with my off track. The British parliament, had nothing to do with it, nor the British Police. Both had spent far too long cosying up to the bastards for their personal benefits. It was entirely one UK newspaper, and one UK magazine, Guardian and Private Eye, that had been reporting on this for years before it finally got the wider attention it always deserved.

I didn't know the background but I think I'm right in saying it was an inquiry set up under the aegis of the British Parliament. Anything less and the nasty b-stard wouldn't have turned up. Even then he foamed at the mouth between every begrudging word he spoke.

I have to agree with Brad - it was the Grauniad and Private Eye who broke this story - the British parliament was simply playing catch up. And what has changed? One former editor jailed? Is that it?

As far as the video link is concerned, people are of course entitled to their opinion, but I try not to make value judgements along the lines of certain sexual activities being " disgusting" or "disturbing".

The reason I don't, is that I am fully aware that very, very many people (probably the majority) would regard 50/60/70+ yo men, crowding into Gogo or beer bars halfway round the world in search of young male prostitutes half or a quarter of their own age, to be far more disgusting and disturbing.

Therefore, I adhere to the adage about "people in glasshouses..." - and would recommend it to all.

Joe, bukkake is just another manifestation of the Japanese love of things a bit "different."

I have participated many times in such activities, although not for quite some time. Can I just say that there was never a shortage of guys willing to be the "receiver" - there were usually numerous rounds of the paper, scissors, stone game until a "winner" was found.

I notice that the guy had to drink some of the cum - or at least put it in his mouth. In the clubs, normally they just rubbed it all over their body and then went off and took a shower.

At the end if the video the guy is quite nonchalant about it all. His only complaint is that the smell was a bit much.

I saw bukkake as harmless fun. But if a guy was being forced in any way to participate, then I would not be a part if it. But I never saw that.

There used to be a few bukkake clubs in the Shibuya district, aimed at straight guys. They were basically for office workers to visit in their lunch hours and for the students at the local university. I don't know if they are still there. In the hetero clubs - members only (so to speak) - I know they used to call in professional girls.

One thing I love about the Japanese is that they are in no way shy and will get naked and indulge in sex in front of others at the drop if a hat. It's a society where people always do things in groups, including sex.

BTW "bukkake" literally means "to splash" with a degree of force or power implied. A lot of those guys in the video merely dribbled onto his face - hardly a true bukkake. But as wanking is the national pastime in Japan, that comes as no surprise. Many of the guys were running on empty, it would seem.

I'm pretty sure the guys doing the wanking are mostly straight and doing it for 'hard' cash. ;) This type of large group masturbation bukkake vdo was a fad for a while. I have read somewhere that these particular vdos are more popular with young Japanese females than males!

The Japan porn vdo industry is massive. It has to offer a varied menu of activities (sometimes weird, sometimes revolting to others - e,g, violence) to appeal to all sorts of desires. In 2011, the average per capita spend on porn vdos in Japan was US$157. In the US it was $47. I have seen estimates of the value of the Japan porn industry in its totality (including prostitution, sex clubs, saunas etc.) ranging from 1% to as high as 5% of GDP. As a comparison, presently Japan spends about 1% of its GDP on its defence budget!

Joe, you are entitled to express your opinion like anyone else here. I'm sure you're not the only one who thinks it's disgusting.

Netrix, I haven't a clue where that place is, but get back to us with the answer - ASAP!

Fountainhall, I'm sure you are aware that there is (was?) a porn video company that specialises in group sex scenes. I recall one video where hundreds of couples were lined up in perfect order in a plane hanger furiously fucking. It was hilarious.

There are lots if companies making "odd" videos. A friend in Japan showed me a gay one where the guys went into a room, one by one, and stuck their cocks into a Japanese version of a fleshlight which was taped to the underside of a table, and fucked it until they came.

The Japanese like to look at the faces of guys when they cum - so do I. (I wonder where I got that from??). So there are lots of videos where one guy is giving another guy a handjob. It's what I also like to do. Thank God for Good boys. (Their sign outside the bar is in Japanese too, btw.)

What will the Japanese think of next??

I can hardly wait...hehe

Seeing as you seem to be very knowledgeable on these matters and appear to have a wealth of statistics at your fingertips fountainhall. Perhaps you, or even a447, can answer this question. If the Japanese are so obsessed with pornography, why the hell do they pixilate the bits that most of us actually buy or view porn to see? I just donтАЩt get it.

Anybody wanna take a guess at where this is...

Seeing as you seem to be very knowledgeable on these matters . . .
I have visited Japan regularly since 1981 and worked in Tokyo for a couple of years. That's the only reason I know something about the country.

As for pixilation, itтАЩs simply a matter of obeying the law! During the 20th century, censorship was always applied to naked images. Post World War II this took the form of blacking out genitalia and public hair. Eventually, producers of such materials got partly round the law by introducing pixilation which at least gives an idea of what is going on. Around the mid-1990s, the law changed and now only applies to genitals.

ItтАЩs all very typical of JapanтАЩs archly conservative society. A great deal is permissible provided it takes place behind closed doors. Indeed, much of this is more graphic than anything to be seen in Thailand. In public, though, the vast majority of Japanese conform strictly to societyтАЩs rules. Breaking those rules is a definite no-no. But a lot of producers now stretch the limits even further and the pixilation/masking is almost negligible. Some entrepreneurs invented anti-pixelation devices and they now do a roaring trade! Also, the internet makes it easier for some producers to get round the law and it is now possible to obtain vdos without any form of pixilation. But there are very few producers doing this, as far as I am aware.

As usual, Fountainhall is spot on.

The Japanese authorities have a very confused idea as to what constitutes porn. When American magazines starred posting photos of girls showing public hair they had an apoplectic fit and employed housewives to blacken out the hair with marker pens. It didn't take long for the locals to grab a bottle of nail polish remover and wipe the marker pen off, fully revealing the offending pubic hair. The authorities then handed the housewives, seconded in a warehouse in Yokohama, sharp needles which the used to scratch away the hair!

Local soft-porn, called "roman poruno" (romantic porn) did not allow pubic hair or genitals, but did allow cumshots and arseholes!!! The cock was pixelated but the cumshots was not. A guy could lick a girl's arsehole, totally unpixelated, but could not insert a finger.

The whole ban on pubic hair came to an end when local porn producers found a way around the law. The law stated that the girls could not be filmed or photographed naked from the waist down - they had to be wearing something, no matter how flimsy. So what did the producers do? They clothed the girls in fully transparent panties! They were so transparent that you had to look hard to even see them. With that, I think the authorities just gave up and pubic hair is now not a problem.

As Fountainhall wrote, the Japanese generally follow the law in public, but what happens behind closed doors is an entirely different matter - absolutely anything goes! They feel free to explore every imaginable fantasy.

There are all kinds if sex clubs in Japan, but usually they are not advertised, except in special magazines, and the clubs themselves are often not signposted. You have to be in the know.

Years ago a friend took me to a sm club - not my interest at all - but it was actually quite funny. Everything was simulated and totally fake; the "whipping" wouldn't hurt a fly and the 'chains" were made of plastic! But at least the customers could go away and tell their mates they'd been to an sm club.

The real hardcore clubs require expensive membership. That way, the owner knows who's coming to his club and the members form a group so they all know each other. Another example of Japanese doing things in groups.

Like Thailand,Japan is basically a very conservative Buddhist society - until you close the door and are able to shut yourself off from that society. Then the fun begins.

The Japanese law-makers represent mainstream Japan and so will not change the laws, as that would offend the conservative values, even though they are undoubtably patrons of the behind closed doors sex establishments.

Years ago my friends and I frequented strip shows, the raunchiest of which were held in venues out in the suburbs of Tokyo. Not because we wanted to see girls strip - God forbid- but because we got to see lots of cocks. The shows always featured a "namaita" show, where members of the audience (many if them hot university students - yum!) got up on stage and fucked the girls or got a handjob. Plus the finale usually featured a Japanese couple fucking acrobatically, or a rather tame foreign couple - usually rather embarrassed backpackers who were recruited off the streets. The Governor of Hiroshima and his guest, also a governor, were arrested at one of these shows mid-fuck! And his defence? It happened behind closed doors so was nobody else' s business.

Thank you for your detailed reply fountainhall.

My question was posted in haste, not always a good thing, so my apologies for not making my question more explicit. Of course I realised it was the law, but what I couldnтАЩt understand was how such an illiberal law could be juxtaposed with your earlier post, in which you said the Japanese porn industry is тАЬmassiveтАЭ and that a large proportion of its GDP is spent on porn. Why, I wondered, do the Japanese tolerate such a ridiculous restriction as pixilation?

It occurred to me that if the makers of un-pixilated porn DVDs were prosecuted, wouldnтАЩt Japanese juries simply refuse to convict given the huge public appetite and general acceptance of porn leaving the law unenforceable?

The UK was pretty late in liberalising the British publicтАЩs access to pornography. Although IтАЩm not quite sure if this was by way of statute, or simply a reluctant acceptance by the authorities. Did they simply judge that prosecutions under the 1959 Obscene Publications Act were unlikely to be successful as juries would refuse to convict due to a shift in public opinion? (Others with a greater knowledge on the law please feel free to correct me if my understanding is wrong.)

Now, having read your further reply and a447тАЩs comprehensive explanation I now feel I have a greater appreciation of this subject.

Thank you both for taking the time to post your replies. Oh, and apologies to netrix for going off topic.

That is the western way if thinking. Japan is totally different. Japanese society works under rules which we would consider to be unbearably strict. Put simplistically, the individual and individual freedoms mean little. The larger group, be it your school, university, the company you work for, a community, district, city or the country will always take precedence. That is how Japanese are brought up from the moment they leave their mothers' womb. Porn exists and most Japanese are aware of this. Many will purchase porn. But because porn is a kind of forbidden fruit and disturbs the wheels of an ordered society, it therefore does not exist. The Japanese mind is quite capable of blocking out what it knows but feels it should not be seen to know! And so because porn therefore does not exist, producers will only push the envelope as far as they think they can, but they will not rock the boat by seeking to change the law. Besides, Japanese will always do their best to avoid having the law adjudicate in disputes. They will argue their case as vehemently as they decide permissible, but they will almost always prefer to come to an agreement by consensus.

Eventually, perhaps, by some kind of obscure osmosis parliament will change the law. But I suspect most MPs may have too many sexual skeletons in their cupboards to be seen to be supporting any change!

The UK was pretty late in liberalising the British publicтАЩs access to pornography . . . Did they simply judge that prosecutions under the 1959 Obscene Publications Act were unlikely to be successful as juries would refuse to convict due to a shift in public opinion?
Changes to the Obscene Publications Act in England and Wales in 1959 (Scotland and Northern Ireland have separate legal systems) came about not as a result of general public pressure but pressure from a small number of campaigning publishers and individuals. Whilst the Act brought about some major changes, it was not a license to print/publish pornography. It even kept a provision specifically prohibiting the publication of porn that would be considered obscene. The authorities still took action against several publishers, the latest successful prosecution being in 2010. I can recall outright porn being sold in backstreet shops in London in the 1970s. But Margaret Thatcher introduced legislation in the 1980s to make even this much more difficult. I'm not sure how easy or otherwise it is to purchase porn over the counter in Britain now. I suspect it is not nearly as easy as on the continent.

a447

Sorry we've gotten off track, Netrix, but your OP has lead to something very interesting.

In Japan, as soon as video stores started opening up they always kept porn under the counter so it was sort of freely available if you asked specifically for it.

Australia has very strange laws regarding porn. Whether or not you can buy porn movies in the sex shops depends on what state you live in. However, you can always order them by mail from Canberra. But, of course, these days everyone has the internet so porn is now available to all, so the laws are now irrelevant.

As Fountainhall points out, the Japanese have the uncanny ability to simply block out what they don't want to see/ think/ feel. So nobody "notices" all the guys sitting on the train reading porn manga (comics) with their very graphic content. I think in a western country somebody would surely say something if he saw a high school student looking at such magazines on public transport.

In Japan you are surrounded by sexual images from the time you are born. As a horny teenager I remember my mates and I walking past "roman poruno" theatres all over Tokyo, with their lurid posters on display for all to see. But the locals just walked nonchalantly past every day and didn't "notice" anything.

Japanese society works under rules which we would consider to be unbearably strict.

As I grew up there, I never felt that any of the rules - and there are a lot of them in daily life- to be strict in any way. It was the way things were and you just got on with things. On the contrary, I sometimes bemoan the seemingly lack if rules in western society; I believe that rules that everyone abides by leads to a safe, orderly society. In Japan, the good of society overrides the need for individual freedom - a bit like Singapore??
