Taxi Apps in Bangkok

I found the easiest way to get a taxi is to hail one down on the side of the road. (Just kidding, no I haven't tried these apps. What's next? An app that tell what is weather is like right now?)

During the songkran holiday I used the GrabTaxi iPad app to hire a taxi to take me to Pattaya. Mr toom and mr t taxi services were not operating as all drivers were on holiday.

The thing I liked about the app was that it let me type in the exact address I was going to and I could also type in the pickup address or let the app find my location through the gps reading on my device.

After about a minute, three drivers responded and I selected the best price and car and the driver called me to confirm the trip.

Oh, I was also able to set the day and time of the trip.
