I've asked for one in several places over the years but always get a blank stare...so I stopped. No doubt somewhere some bartender knows how to make the drink but I've not found him.

You can also google the recipe and print it out and take it to the bar and have them make it.

"An old friend of mine had made this for years and swears by this recipe. I have to admit it's the best Long Island Iced Tea I've ever had."
INGREDIENTS:
1 fluid ounce vodka
1 fluid ounce gold tequila
1 fluid ounce rum
1 fluid ounce gin
1 fluid ounce Cointreau or triple sec
5 fluid ounces sweet and sour mix
2 fluid ounces cola
1 lime wedge
DIRECTIONS:
1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice; pour in vodka, tequila, rum, gin, Cointreau, and sweet and sour mix. Cover and shake until the outside of the shaker is frosty. Place a few cubes of ice into a highball glass, and strain in the iced tea. Top with the cola, and garnish with a wedge of lime.

The Long Island Iced Tea (LIIT) is the basis of many elaborate mixed-drinks. It dates to the 70's, named after the continental USA's largest island Long Island, in New York. Although it doesn't contain tea, it's taste is similar. The drink sits in the top 5 of most popular cocktails and is regularly mentioned or seen served in television and films (worthy mentions are The Simpsons, Sex and the City and Cruel Intentions).

Scale ingredients to servings
1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola┬о

Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.

Your comment about Bondi surprises me. When we are at the beach, we tend to sit just inside the door to Bondi and not really notice what others are drinking. As that is late afternoon maybe for LIT drinkers, it might be a little early.

We have a friend who drinks cocktails coming in May,and Bondi if they do cocktails is a useful guide.

You think they would charge a ton of money for that drink?

I think they even have a big book of drinks that may already have those drinks in it.
