Ironically I was prompted to check out the newly energised Jomtien Complex by a conversation between two homophobic farangs on the baht-bus.

Fallang 1: "The complex is going from bad to worse day-by-day, two more f--cking boy bars have just opened"
.
Falang 2 (white haired but with lady in tow): "soon they'll take Fantasy Bar-faggot b-stards". Thai lady companion:" why you angry?-no problem"

Given all this bad mouthing by the homophobes I figured that things are on the up and up in Jomtien and so they are.

If the long predicted demise of Sunnee and Boyz Town comes about-never fear-Jomtien is here.

Or do I overleap myself?

I agree, Jomtien Complex on the upswing and lots of fun. Different than Sunee or
Boyztown area and full of energy and hot Thai guys everywhere .

I will stay Jomtien next visit. After years of staying in BT I felt last visit that Jomtien is a great place to start evening,....then to BT for some great fun, maybe nab, then return to Jomtien ready to fall out of bed for beach following afternoon. Great choice restaurants .....can't go wrong !

Thanks for posting that link! I notice, however, that the map and venues were last updated in 2011. Given the changes that have happened in BT and Sunnee in that time, I shudder to think how many of the places on that map and site are actually still around. I would be interested to know what places are open and hopping. Might be a nice change of pace when I next go in 2 weeks time...
