Yes, believe it or not, I spent only one night in Pattaya. IтАЩve wanted to drive to Pattaya for a number of years and mentioned this on SGT earlier this year. ChristianPFC kindly replied and volunteered to act as my navigator.
We could not drive down on a Friday night after Christian finished work, as I am not comfortable driving in the dark because of eyesight problems. And Christian works during the week, so that left only one option of driving down on a Saturday and returning on a Sunday.
It took just over 4 hours to get to Pattaya from Bangkok, but we stopped off on route to visit Wat Nanthawan and spent around 50 minutes there. And no sooner had we set off on the road again, when I started to get a migraine and had to pull off the road for about 25 minutes while my Sumatriptan tablet took effect. We also encountered some pretty heavy traffic, with two long bottle-necks and a lorry breakdown, which slowed our progress and added to my stress!
Having never stayed at a hotel in the Sunee Plaza area before, I am grateful to Fran├зois for recommending the Flamingo Hotel, almost opposite the Mosaik serviced apartments, near TukCom shopping mall. I wanted somewhere close to ChristianтАЩs lodgings and somewhere I could park my car. It was relatively cheap at 990 baht a night for a front facing room. It was a perfectly adequate, clean, good sized room, with a comfortable bed, air-con, free Wi-Fi, small flat screen TV, large fridge containing 2 free bottles of water and good showering facilities. But the real attraction was its location and the reserved car park space immediately outside the hotel. A 500 baht refundable deposit is required.
There was however an irritating hick-up on checking out. I wanted an early departure and to leave around 9:00am. But the staff member present was unable to access my deposit money. We had to wait another 30 minutes until a staff member with access to my deposit arrived. In the meantime we went to a local Thai caf├й where Christian had breakfast.
It must be between 2 and 3 years since I last visited Pattaya and I had forgotten just how busy the town is. Christian walked me through Sunee Plaza so that I could get my bearings and find my way back to my hotel. We bumped into someone who, I wasnтАЩt aware at the time, was a SGT member. Had I known, I would have introduced myself and said, тАШhelloтАЩ. It was another case of being nice to put a face to a name.
We decided to split up, I needed a rest after the stressful drive down and Christian went off to engage in some other activities that are best left to him to report on if he so chooses.
Later that evening, refreshed and ready to go, I had a rough idea of how I wanted to spend my limited time in Pattaya.
Eros Bar тАУ Sunee Plaza
Having heard so much about this bar on SGT, one IтАЩd never visited before, I decided to make it my first port of call.
Hmm тАж yes, it had a warm, inviting very friendly atmosphere and was nicely laid out. There were another 4 or 5 customers in the bar. Two тАШboysтАЩ latched on to me rather quickly, one of whom I thought was very cute. I ordered a drink for me and a drink for the тАШboysтАЩ.
Ah тАж as I had heard on SGT a certain amount of тАШfiddle, faddle,тАЩ was welcome, indeed encouraged! :)
The cute boy had a disappointing little button mushroom cock, but happily that situation didnтАЩt last long and soon he was the proud owner of a very respectable member! He asked me to off him, but it was too early in the evening and I didnтАЩt want my night to be over before it had begun. He then suggested using one of their rooms. Another bar IтАЩd heard a lot about on SGT is the show at X-Boys Pattaya in Pattayaland soi 1. So off I trooped across to Boyz Town and walked past some of the other bars before entering the bar about 30 minutes before the first of three show times at 10:00pm.
I was ushered into the bar by a very cute go-go тАШboyтАЩ who had been standing outside the bar. Oh dear тАж I was the only customer and there were only 6-7 go-go boys. For some reason I had expected a full house and lots more тАШboysтАЩ. Six more customers arrived before the show started and another 5 or 6 during the show. I was charged 240 baht for my drink.
I liked the тАШboyтАЩ who had brought me in and one other handsome тАШboyтАЩ. My тАШescortтАЩ continued giving me his undivided attention and after a lot of eye contact he came off the stage and sat next to me. Yes, I thought, very cute, and just my type, but I still wasnтАЩt sure if I should make a decision to off at so early an hour.

Where to go next? I decided that yet another bar which was тАШa must seeтАЩ, had to be Funny Boys, where IтАЩd offтАЩd numerous boys in in the past.
There was only 1 other customer in the bar when I entered, but an ample number of cute, twinky types, although most of them were rather too thin for my taste. But, had I been staying in Pattaya longer, IтАЩm sure I would have ended up taking one or two out of the bar.
Customers are provided with a cold wet face cloth on entering the bar, which I think is a very nice touch. Not so sure about handing out and encouraging customers to eat peanuts though, not when I am trying to diet! LOL!
Hmm тАж I didnтАЩt think there was anyone in the bar to beat my X-Boys тАШboyтАЩ. I thought all the boys looked rather bored, and one in particular, who I quite fancied, kept yawning, then he started picking his nose тАж oh dear, not an attractive sight!
