We just updated our Chiang Mai Quick Reference Guide for the coming high season. Its a simple listing of Chiang Mai gay venues in English with Thai addresses for your taxi/Tuk-Tuk driver. Designed to print on a single side of A4 and put in your pocket, the PDF file is an excellent easy guide if you're looking to explore Chiang Mai and visit different places.

If you are visiting Chiang Mai you can download it here and print before your visit: www.radchada.com/down-loads/ (http://www.radchada.com/down-loads/) See the sample below. We hope that someone finds it useful.

To get everything on a single page the information is quite condensed. For more information about the places listed you can visit our full guide at www.gayinchiangmai.com/News/chiang-mai-gay-scene-guide/ (http://www.gayinchiangmai.com/News/chiang-mai-gay-scene-guide/) which we will also be updating in the next few days.

Thank you very much. That's the style I like information. It might be a while until I go to Chiang Mai again (probably next February or March), I will keep a printout with me.

Christian you are the perfect travel reporter. Here are four more places for you to check out in Chiang Mai and please, please report what you find back to people interested in visiting Chiang Mai. If you or anyone else has any problems finding these places, please PM me.

Sign In Bar
This is the old disco Mandalay recently reopened as the bar "Sign In." Mandalay used to be mixed with a large gay clientele. They recently closed this disco and opened up as "Sign In Bar". The reports I have received say this dance bar is now almost entirely gay, but business is slow at the moment. Worth a visit and like many places in Chiang Mai, it is best after 2300.

CU Bar
The is one of the Three Night Bazaar bars. They enjoy a large crowd on most nights. Many regulars and plenty of boys. The map at "Out in Thailand" magazine displays their location. Best after 2300 and often open to the wee hours of the morning.

Secrets Bar
The last of the night Bazaar bars. Also very busy on most nights. Recently had a birthday party for the owner тАЬOhтАЭ and there were over 100 people in attendance. A great time was had by all. IMHO opossigbly one of the very best and busiest bars in Chiang Mai. Best after 2200 and open to the wee hours of the morning.

So Be IT
This is a gay owned restaurant and after hours bar in the night Bazaar area of Chiang Mai. No web page yet and still low key, but located in Front of CU Bar and Secrets. They serve Thai food till late on some nights and food may be ordered from either Secrets bar or CU Bar

Darn, I forgot one that just opened.

Located in the same compound as Ram Bar and the Riverhouse Massage is the new Edge restaurant. They specialize in contemporary British food.

You can read more about the Edge in the article I linked to above or here: Chiang Mai Gay News - On The Edge and RAM Bar has talent (http://www.gayinchiangmai.com/News/2013/edge-ram-bar-talent/). Next month's edition of Out in Thailand magazine has James Barnes enthusing about it too. Available 1 December at: www.out-in-thailand.com (http://www.out-in-thailand.com/)

Thank You! Be sure to check back before you come as places are always changing. We try to update the pocket guide two or three times a year before the major holidays.

You can find more information and locations for the bars mentioned above here: Chiang Mai Gay Go-Go and Host bars (http://www.gayinchiangmai.com/News/chiang-mai-gay-scene-guide/gogo-and-host-bars/#NBZ)

Thought I'd bump this rather than start a new thread. An updated version of our Pocket guide to Gay Chiang Mai (http://www.radchada.com/down-loads/) is now online at www.radchada.com (http://www.radchada.com/). Includes the updates to our gay guide from April 2014 (http://www.gayinchiangmai.com/News/2014/gay-guide-updates-april-2014/) as well as Orion Bar.
