Tongiht (Friday) I got out at a late start. I had to do some work before I could head out to the bars and didn't get out the door till about 9:30pm. I hopped on a baht bus and got off at VC hotel and decide I would try some bars I have not been in. I made my way to N.Boys. I think it use to be nice boys. I was stopped before I could even get near the door. I was told that it was a special night. 200 baht ticket required and that will come with 1 free drink. I declined and said I would go to the bar next door which was Powerboys I was there the night before they they seem to enjoy me carelessly spending my money. I sat with one guy I thought was the oldest and most manly in the bar till a new guy popped up on stage and I wish I had waited for him..... I tipped him anyway, tipped the guy sitting with me, paid my bill, tipped the waiter and they were following me out the door asking for tips (In a fun way, not an annoying way).

After realizing I had spent my last 1000 baht note, I hit the ATM near Eros but before I could get to the ATM, the guys as Eros were kindly asking me to return. I told them I had to hit the ATM and once that was done they escorted me in like a groom being led to the alter but in this case it was a sofa. Before I could sit down a guy was flexing his concealed erection for my sole benefit..... The place was a bit more crowded, but come to think of it.. It was not more crowded but it seemed that way to me with all the guys, the customers and my sitting in a different angle. The guy sitting with me pointed to a corner and told me "Smoke". Seems one guy just could not control himself and smoked on one boy after another. You could see the guys all head to the bathroom to wash themselves off after their turn in line. Still, I felt like I was sitting in a friends basement during a slumber party with guys in their underwear with liquor being consumed.

I left there after having some fun with the guys and promised I will be back on Saturday and I plan to keep that promise. I made my way to Xboys for the show...... But before that, I stopped back at N.Boys and asked the guy at the door if the special night was only tonight or if there would be a door charge for me tomorrow also when I come by? He laughed that he did not know me and apologized and asked me to come into the bar. I declined and ask why he would treat me such a way (I asked in a way showing I had no hurt feelings, only sadness for the way he treated me.) He said I was a new customer and that is why he did that. I asked if he always treats new customers that way? He again asked me to come in and again I declined. I wanted to go where my baht and I were welcome so I went to xboys. The show was the regular stuff and the fuck show was a joke anymore. It's not even a fuck show, it is a "Look, I have my penis in their butt, I will come over to your seat and you tip us...." BORING....... Once the show was over it was about 12:15am, so I crossed over to see the show at xboysland and walked in during the sexy man show. There was one dark guy with one hell of a penis on him. He walked with a big smile as his cock swung and bounced with each step. The more it bounced the bigger his smile became.

I was only one of a handful of customers there so I took a seat in the front. Once seated the small dark guy with the big cock stopped right in front of me, spread his legs and let his cock swing like a pendulum while smiling down at me like he was a cat and I was his canary. He performed in some of the acts and in-between acts he would jump down off the stage and nuzzle my shoulder sitting nest to me. "Bottom Alert!" Went my warning bells... No one bothered us or asked me to buy him a drink. I tipped him and when show time came he was up on stage again to be in another number. I didn't off him. He was too eager and a possible bottom that would function as a top... I expected he pegged me for a top and I was not in the mood to be topped by a bottle guy even if he has the right equipment for the right job. Besides, I was not hiring tonight, I was just out for a good time... to have fun.

I got up from my seat to take a wizz and when I came back out the lights were up, the room was bright and most of the guys were gone. The host told me they all are at Xboys across the street. The only gogo boy in the bar was the cute small guy with the elephant trunk for a penis. I did my tipping rounds. Tipped Mr. Big Cock. Tipped the waiter and left some money in the check envelope for the bar and a waiter held out his hand for a tip. I told him to get on stage in his underwear and I will tip him, he laughed and pulled his pants down along with his underwear.... What could I do? I had to tip him.

It was now about 1am and I figured, "What the hell.. Go to Happy Place." I entered and the place was stripped. Not even was the name painted on the walls. Everything Neal had in their was gone and gone also was the fun. I know we are not supposed to mention Neal but it's getting to be a bit silly and stupid in my opinion for us all to be forced to take up sides in a petty battle that has gone on far too long for grown adults. Anyway..... there was about 9 guys on the stage. One was attractive with blond hair? I could not tell for sure in the lights of the bar. The rest pranced like like ti was a girls on film audition thinking I was looking for company and mistaking me for a top. The ladyboy hosts did their stuff of joking, touching and all the things that I would never stand for if I was back in the USA but I let it slide being here in Thailand. I ordered a coke, drank my drink and decided to down it once I was surrounded by guys asking where I was from, what hotel I stay at and all the standard bar stuff... All that going on while a ladyboy is running her hands over my chest and arms... UGH! CHECK PLEASE!!!! 180 Baht for my glass of cola. I gave 1000 baht and this is probably going to put me on Neal's Hate-dar, but they brung me my change in the folder with 1, 20 baht note and the rest in 100's. I left the 20 in the folder and headed out the door. Once on the street I began to fold and separate the 100 baht notes to go into my money-clip. Well, by either accident or design they shorted me 100 baht. I just laughed to myself and let it go. Happy Place??? For me it was about 100 baht shy of being a happy place.

Now I am back in my room. I'm ignoring the phone, the apps, the internet and the guys. I think I just want to jerk off and have some alone time.

Good night. [-(

An enjoyable post, you seem to be rivalling N.Irish in the 'maximum bonhomie' stakes. By N'Boys do you mean Nice Boys next to Micmy bar? And Powerboys, I have never heard of that place, where is it?

Thanks for your post Buck, often I find myself doing the same thing, the BS gets a bit old and expensive. IтАЩd rather open a bottle of whisky at a beer bar and watch the boys get drunk rather than having the phony slang slung at me from the gogo placesтАж these days I prefer offing a straight boy and taking him to the young girl soi for a 3 way in my room. I just arrived Thursday and spent all day Friday sleeping off the jet lagтАж hit me up if you want to hang out, IтАЩm here for the next month.

Thanks guys. The bars mick-my may now be powerboys and N.boys is the old Nice boys I think but I can be wrong as those were not bars that had the guys of my type so in the past I gave them a pass.

I'm having a good time so far and as my trip draws to a close I am thinking of letting a little more of the money flow. Right now I won't mind spending another 1 or 2 thousand US Dollars just having mad fun but I know I will be mad at myself once I get home and look at my checking account.

You only live once Mr Bucky, so enjoy yourself while you can. Besides, being an American of considerable means, the amount you mentioned is a mere bag-a-telle and hardly worth a second thought. :-)

You mistake me for a wealthy man, I am spending my retirement money lol
Well I am trying to buy a house for cash without selling the house I live in and that is the money I am spending on this trip.... My new home money :-(

Spend it and be damned :-) Tomorrow is promised to no one, you're in Thailand so take a tip from the Thai's - live for today and worry about tomorrow tomorrow. You'll have plenty of time when you're back home to think and worry about how you're going to make up your shortfall in housing funds - meanwhile you're there now, so live for the moment and suck every last bit of pleasure out it you can, life is short - carpe diem and all that.

PS - My heart bleeds for you for the "first world" problem you're having of having to worry about how you're going to pay 100% cash for your SECOND house and all whilst not selling your first one ( if I've read that right) - god love you, that must be SUCH a strain for you - theres you worrying about your SECOND house cash with the average Thai boy you're with worrying about he's getting the money for some dinner tonight :-) Yeah, us Farang have to real tough eh :-)

PS when you're back home and "skint" I'll deny ever posting this message and tell you it's not a bit a wonder you've no money due to your reckless spending while you were away on holiday lol - and as for getting back home and being horrified when looking in your checking account I just always assumed that that was just as much a "must do" part of any Thailand trip as offing a few cute boys so I wouldn't worry about that, you're just ensuring that you're having the "full" Thailand experience it seems lol

Enjoy !

Great report Bucky!

The Sign outside Nice boys has always read N.Boys
Its previous name was K.Boys - so when it was taken over and became Nice boys the K was simply changed to an N... I presume to save on costs of Neon tubing!

The 200B entrance fee is quite common in Nice boys and MicMy - but only for Non Whites/Asians...
In fact sometimes they don't let Non Whites/Asians in at all and claim that there is a private party

Yes its quite a racist policy.... but i guess being so close to the edges of the Arab/Indian areas they get a lot of undesirable customers that make trouble

Interesting that MicMy is now known as Powerboys - do they have a new sign up?

By the way have you tried any of the clubs yet?
NAB, Dave, Idol?
You surely can't go to pattaya and not have at least a night out in one of those clubs with a gaggle of boys?

Pity you didn't start early on that Friday-you could have taken in Soi Twilight, Bangkok as well. You have energy to burn. Thanks.
Re the former happy status of HAPPY PLACE- is the policy of bringing in women to compete with gays for st boys still extant?
If the former owner was correct then the place should be a heaving pandemonium of swinging tits and glistening cocks by now.
If not why not?

Mr Buck--I'm not always an ardent fan of you and your posts, but I really liked this one, and I truly admire your attitude. You're on holiday-- when you get home another ten or twenty dollars spent won't mean a thing. Smile, laugh, have fun, spend a few bucks here and there, tip boys who make you happy, or make you smile, whether they've truly earned it or not. Spread good cheer and good will and if you go home with a little less money, you'll have far more in happy memories to sustain you until you can make it back for your next visit.

I agree with you (and Nirish) completely on this, apart from one statement in the quote.

For me, Thailand has always been a very cheap holiday destination because I live in Australia where everything costs the earth! Food and accommodation are cheap in LOS, as is the fun you can have in the bars and with the guys later. However, I don't see myself as a charity and have never thrown money around. (Which is why I disagree with the Captain here - I think the guy has to do something to earn a tip, no matter how little)

But back in July I kind of opened the floodgates and started tipping anyone who made me smile and was fun to be with. Consequently, I spent quite a bit at the Scorpion Bar and tipped Mr Cutie and his brother generously. I also handed out tips to a number of other Vietnamese guys working there. What can I say? I had a fantastic time. I was happy and so were the boys. We were all happy. We all "paid" something - me with my money, the guys with their time. Sabai, sabai.

I did the same during my trip earlier this month and was rewarded in the same way. I chose the guys I wanted to sit with at Eros and bought them as many drinks as they wanted. I had a lot of fun - all kinds of fun, actually - and they were tipped accordingly at the end of the night. And no, they didn't take advantage of the open bar I had provided, and all drank responsibly.

Of course, they didn't really give a shit about me personally; I was merely their ATM. But it is all part of the fantasy. We are all just playing a role and if we are aware of that and don't try to delude ourselves, then a great time can be had.

The last 2 trips have been among the best ever and I will be doing the same during my upcoming trip.

Life's short. And anyone who says money doesn't make you happy is visiting the wrong countries!

I live in Australia where everything costs the earth!I've always thought of you as a total wanker a447 and this one comment proves it. Since Australian wages are roughly four times comparable Thai wages - the (Thai) hairdresser boyfriend of a friend of mine in Sydney for example is on $1,000 a week while in Thailand he'd be lucky to get the equivalent of $1,000 a month - of course things are going to cost less in Thailand than in Australia. However as my friend never tires of pointing out, while the wage ratio is something like 1:4 the prices in the supermarkets are nothing like 1:4, more like 1:2 and he argues the vegetables appear to be fresher and higher quality in Australia. As for boys, the prices seem to be 1:2.5 and as for consumer protection, not-so-corrupt police and a first world medical system... But as I say you're clearly a wanker who doesn't understand these things and is focused entirely knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Since Australian wages are roughly four times comparable Thai wages

Four times??? Are you sure??

The basic wage in LOS is 300 baht per day- just over $15 per day
The basic wage in Australia is just over $124 per day

So...who's the wanker here?? Had trouble with maths at school, did we? Or are you just dumb?

And if your boyfriend was only earning $1000 per week, perhaps he needs to upgrade his skills! That's about what a pizza delivery boy would earn per hour.

You have actually totally agreed with me! Things are going to cost less in Thailand. That's exactly what I said! And your smart-arse comment neglects one important thing - I'm spending my money in LOS, not in Australia.

focused entirely knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing.

There's a clue in there as to the motive of your meaningless post. Some people don't have to worry about the "price of everything." You obviously do.

October 27th, 2013, 13:10
Sadly a447 missed out on learning English - too much time in Japanese schools as a geisha boy perhaps. I gave "comparable" situations, in particular a Thai working as a hairdresser in Sydney vs. a Thai working as a hairdresser in Bangkok. I'm sure that some people earn more - merchant bankers, say, or pizza delivery boys apparently. Interestingly the Australian Bureau of Statistics (no equivalent in Thailand) puts male average weekly earnings just above $1,420 but then that figure does indeed include the munificently rewarded pizza delivery boys of a447's acquaintance who would skew the results upwards.

I did ask Siri what pizza delivery boys make in Australia and she told me "Sweetie [I've tried unsuccessfully to train Siri to address me as 'Lord & Master'] somewhere between $12 and $14 per hour and on average they work 20 hours a week {source: Whirlpool}" so that's um, er $260 a week. They can't be working for a447's pizza chain (and that's not the one I'm currently yanking BTW).

So what is a447's argument? That wages in Australia are even higher than 4:1 but everything still "costs the earth" compared to Thailand?

just continuing the off topic about wages and cost of living (which I am staying out off), please check the following link:
http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/co ... y2=Pattaya (http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=Australia&country2=Thailand&city1=Brisbane&city2=Pattaya)
That goes from Brisbane Australia (my home state) to Pattaya.

I appears that I'm talking to a complete moron, who not only failed maths, but English as well.

You have totally missed the point. I'm not spending the money in Australia - I'm spending it in Los where it goes a lot further. It really doesn't matter how large the discrepancy is between the 2 countries in terms of wages. That 's completely irrelevant. I'm buying Thai products with a high Australian wage and so Thailand is a cheap destination.

And where did I say a pizza delivery guy earns $1000 week?? Read my post again - I referred to the hourly rate.

What planet are you on, kommentariat?
Uranus?

taking Australian incomes........ and comparing them to Thai incomes from the same job

It was you who compared your bf's wage as a hairdresser in both countries, not me.

As I said, who's the wanker here? Can't even understand your own posts! :ymdevil:

I'm taking exception to your inane comment "Australia, where everything costs the earth". Clearly your grasp of the English language starts with whatever drivel you write yourself. That comment is, quite simply, rubbish.

A month ago, it was still Mic My Boy, now it is Power Boy Bar. I asked staff, they renamed because Mic My Boy got bad press after two police raids.

I witnessed the "200 Baht entry, one free drink" at Nice Boys for Arab or Indian looking customers (don't remember exactly) as well, but they let me in without any problems and I paid the usual price.

Related information: Cartier Boys (Soi Leng Gee) is gone. I went there two or three years ago, and remember their step in the floor (well concealed with poor lighting and tiles pattern, and of no function, I hurt my big toe) and shooting arrows at balloons out of the arse and smoking cigarettes with the arse.
