Google wallet money transfer

Anyone use google wallet to transfer money?

I used it once at an Internet vendor's request and it worked fine. I note, though, that he has announced since then that he is proposing to discontinue it as a method of payment, so I guess there may be some sort of issue with it.

I didn't even know about this service. I will avoid using it, as I do with paypal. For same currency transactions, I use a normal bank transfer as it is free (and I don't have to set up a paypal account and then delete it, as I did when there was no other way to receive money than paypal).
