Hi Guys,
My "new chapter" in life continues.
I started this journey 18 months ago planning and it has happened.
Moved to Pattaya 3 days ago and found a job almost immediately.
Now I find I need to find a condo to rent for a year.
Anyone have any experience with a reputable rental agency
OR maybe someone has a unit to rent out.
I am looking for the Jomtiem area around the $b12,000. to $b15,000./ month.
I would prefer a one-bedder (opposed to a studio, but not out of the question) in View Tallay 1 or 2.

I could not have made this trek without your help.

May I recommend the large studios..64 sq meters with balcony/covered patio...
at Jomtien Complex.

I believe the prices are in your range...for 6 month - 1 year lease.
Try to get 6 month lease with option to renew added 6 months...gives you flexibility.

I like the eastern tower...but both have same large sizes of condos.

Ease of access to baht bus, beach, with large fitness center & swimming pool...
and just a step from entry to the clubs and cafes of the Jomtien Complex.

That would be my first pick...Look it over.
I think they are much better than anything at VT 1 or 2.

Glad you are hired...and I believe you will enjoy Pattaya..
pace yourself...it can be overwhelming at first look.

Good luck,

tj

I would also place an apartment wanted ad on Thai Visa. If you can deal directly with the owner you might get a studio in VT5 also. Specify your buildings and no agents.

Thanks Guys.....Both great ideas.
I did find a great place from Thai Visa but did not take it.
As luck would have it I met a guy at the beach this afternoon
who has 2 condos he rents out and they were both vacant. I looked at them and
I now have a gorgeous studio condo 100 m from the beach.

Don't wake me from this dream........

Hi Bing,

The East Tower I referred to was at Jomtien Complex ....there are twin towers.

A great location, good amenities and large condo size...steps from Jomtien Complex clubs, bars, cafes.

I sent donald1 this message:

Yes ...the Jomtien Complex has twin towers...East & West.

Google Jomtien Complex condo rentals...several may appear.

Also, there is a rental office / on ground floor...
and look at the bulletin boards...condo owners post on them
the units for rent/sale...in center of twin towers/main floor.

Take a look at Pattaya Mail for past week...see if they are showing any
rentals in those buildings.
