Maybe I am a bit naive, but for me its always a bit difficult to figure out who is a money boy and who is not in a sauna like Babylon.

Some boys are obviously hookers by their behaviour and look. But last time it happend to me, that a (for me) superhandsome guy was following me trying to get me into one of the closets. I was so insecure about it but also so attracted by him, that I finally asked him: do you want money ??? He denied and we had a good time.

But i just would like to know how to find that out without asking stupidly.

I would just do it, and if he asks at the end, say you no say, no have wallet. If he is a mb, he might let you know at a critical moment, in that case, I would just laugh. Don't encourage mb's at saunas!

I have never encountered one at Bablyon, though I have been told they are there. I think some who are outside money boys come there and play it by ear..though they are really there for fun and not money. So just go ahead and assume all are non money...if they are they will likely tell you before sex.

I agree with Thaiquilla, of all places, I wouldn't have thought Babylon would have MB but that is probably because I have never been had encounters with one in there and I'm not looking for it. Having said that, if one was approached by an MB then they would make it obvious that they would want money before anything started, in a place like that, it would not be just assumed. And I'm sure the management discourages that sort of thing, having said that I wouldn't want to approach any staff at Bablyon, they are not a friendly bunch to say the least.

Yes, in the context of Thailand, who needs mbs there as they are everywhere else. Of course, we are not talking about boy massage plus sauna whore house massage joints, a totally different bird. In some countries. one of the few safe place to find mb's is at some saunas, but in those places there is zero ambiguity, and prices are arranged before services.

MBs that go to Babylon know better then to ask for money before the act, or risk getting banned from Babylon. They may try to ask you afterwards if you want to meet again later for a "date" outside of Babylon, hoping to get some money, gifts etc.
The only place I encountered (well, actually my best friend who was with me at the time) a MB ask for money before any "Fun" activity, was at The House of Male in Chiang Mai. But I notice they have signs posted there now telling you to report anyone asking for money.
Thaiquila is correct, I know when I was in Zurich, the Saunas were full of moneyboys (or "Escorts" as they are called in the west).

I have the same problem at Aquaris here in Patong Beach. Here, it seems about half are money boys (or so another farang told me). He said flat out they would tell me in advance.

However, one boy came to my room and after would not leave. Finally, I asked: "Do you want money?" He nodded yes, and I told him I didn't have any and had to wait to go to ATM (that part was true). I did give him money the next day but told him in the future he needed to make it clear upfront that he was a moneyboy.

Now I ask boys in the sauna flat out where they work. If they name a bar or say they work "around," then I ask if they want money. If they work a normal job or are students, then I assume they are not money boys and would not insult them by asking. I figure if they are they will tell me.

As I am not young, hung or attractive to a young Thai boy I assume anyone coming heavy on to me at a place like Babylon or similar is a money boy. I am therefore not disappointed when it turns out he is. Having said that, I haven't been to Babylon for about six years.

You never know who might find anyone attractive. I have a belly and lots of Thai boys seem to love it. Maybe they are good actors, but who cares?

When you enjoy five Niddy's Nooks Cheeseburgers in Paradise along with a coupla of those fabu Thaiquila cocktails, of course you get a belly! Give me FIVE, Chris!

Without Niddy Nook's cheeseburgers I have a belly. I will venture to Niddy's this trip and hope the belly doesn't get much bigger.

At a sauna in Athens Greece I went to, which was REALLY REALLY tough to find, they had money boys. It was easy to tell the difference:

Sauna customers were given green towels to wear

Moneyboys were given brown towels to wear.

When you entered and checked in they asked you what color towel you wanted.

Tip was negotiated between the customer and MB in private.

Pretty good system, I thought.

Should have been the other color switched around though, green for money boys.
Yeah, cool system.

I've encountered a handful of mb's at Babs and other locations. Here are some tipoffs:

(1) They ask excessive number of questions and usually before any action occurs (where you stay? You stay alone? you like me? You with anyone?)

(2) They initiate action but suddenly become shy.

(3) You have nice affair at sauna and arrange to meet them next day. They suddenly morph into mb.

The best advice is to be up front: I'm not looking for mb. I'm happy to buy you dinner and pay cab fare, but that's it.

When one actually solicits money, I simply say: "I'm sure you're worth every baht but that's not what I'm looking for. Good luck!" And I walk away.

Easy way to spot a few mb................ have a few drinks at malaysia hotel coffee shop one night and memorize faces. I know most of them go to babylon most days - they told me lol I have never been yet.......maybe one day.

Yeah, cool system.

Greek notes are various colors--Some are brown, brownish, mostly brown.
Maybe the towel color stands for something else.... or to save on laundry costs: so stains blend in?... Oh, those Greeks!

I have seen moneyboys in Babylon- they're often the younger Thai-Thai (as opposed to Chinese-Thai) guys there.

I think if they want to invade what is basically a free-sex zone it's up to them, but no encouragement as other posters have said. If someone asks you for money in Babylon, I'd report them to the management. A typical moneyboy request that I've heard is that they will ask you to buy food and alcohol on your locker key number- if you don't feel like it, don't. You don't owe them anything while you're in the sauna- that's why you're in the sauna. Most of them understand this and if they know you're onto their game they'll simply give up- they don't want to make a fuss and lose access (because they do like to play around there, too).
