The TAKE CARE!! Valentine Fundraising event held on Saturday 16 February 2013 at Ganymede Resort and Spa was indeed a grand success.
As with all TAKE CARE!! fundraising events held for the past several years, we promoted it throughout the Pattaya community, at all the venues around Pattaya and Jomtien which receive our Safer Sex Packs, on various newsy websites, as well as on the several internet forums frequented by the Pattaya gay community. And, in every case, we have followed-up the events with a full report posted on these forums. We are most appreciative to the forumsтАЩ management for their support by providing the cyber-sites to access the wider community with news of our fundraising efforts.
Once again (for the 3rd year running) the folks at Ganymede provided a fantastic venue for the event тАУ really a great space. Special thanks to them for their heartfelt support of our efforts by providing both the space and the BBQ, which certainly got the evening off to a grand start.
The eveningтАЩs entertainment was a three-part extravaganza featuring the ever-popular B-Boys, a very provocative shower show and a sexy underwear dance competition. The much-awaited lucky ticket draw provided the many winners with valuable bar and restaurant vouchers.
It seemed evident to all that the 119 paid attendees had a jolly good evening. TAKE CARE!! netted over 61,000 baht, making it the most successful of our fundraisers to date. Virtually 100% of that amount will be spent on the purchase and packaging of the Safer Sex Packs we distribute to the many venues around town. A round of appreciative applause goes to all who attended the event and helped make it such a grand success.
