I will be brutally honest with you Paul........i hate those soi dogs..i have used pepper spray on more than one and i hate being barked at and even nipped at by these dogs.
They should be removed from the streets. :pila:

in a country with so much poverty its peverse to even think of helping stray pets, they should be put down ...in a humane way naturally...but the cash should be spent on humans.

Well said, Latin.

Problem here is I believe the teachings of Buddism do not allow for that. It would be great if there were some way to round many of them up and have Drs either volunteer or work at a discount and spay or nueter a few hundred of them

When Monty had his very first hotel/coffee shop, he had a dog which had a litter,

The dogs were lovable but I asked what he was going to do as they got older.

He replied that the puppies will disappear and end up on a Thai dinner table. When I left he had only one left, of five or six puppies.

neal...you must be getting old to start quoting the teachings of Budda...I'm quitye sure its against his teachings to have fit guys sellings their arses for 500bht a pop...yet...need I say more...like hello!!

Latin: Neal et al. are off the hook on this one. There does not seem to be any Buddhist teaching that prohibits sex between consenting adults, paid or unpaid.

I'm quite sure that Budda would not condone prostitution....not that I've ever read his holy book (is their one??)....

I'm Buddist......Buddism....is searching for the truth and reaching a state of mind called Enlightment
it is not like western religions as in hate and guilt ....it teach's love for all weather man or woman...its about going out into the world and experience life in all forms...and that includes love and sex ..thats why so many Thai males and femails dont feel guilty about having sex..its seen as a beautifull thing and part of life..

...probably explains a lot about Thailand...and the thai....

Bkuechris1 seems not to have absorbed the lessons of "you will know the truth and the truth will make you free" every religion preaches Enlightenment mate and I know quite a few Thais who talk about a sense of guilt.

As I said in another post I'm quite interested in becoming a Buddhist but I don't think I can overcome my desires for boys and attaining nirvana is all about overcoming desire. However I do have to disagree with those who think guilt has no place in Buddhism. From what I've read it's not about having guilty feelings but how Buddhists should deal with those feelings. Isn't that what other religions call "forgiveness"????

Here's something I found that sets it out quite well http://andersonbrownphilosophy.blogspot ... guilt.html (http://andersonbrownphilosophy.blogspot.com.au/2009/06/buddhism-and-guilt.html)
