Having complained about their change policy I feel it's only fair to offer a full review.

Well they charge 200 baht for an alcoholic drink or 180 baht for a soft one, the same as their older sister X-Boys across the soi. Off fees are 400 baht.
The boys on offer. Fat, ugly, unkempt, dirty looking, generally unnatractive and lifeless are all qualities that you will not find in this bar. The boys are lovely with not a single makeweight to be found amongst them. Fuglies are clearly shown the door here. Having offed three and probably running out of time to off the rest I can say that the delightful personalities they display in the bar do not disappear the minute they walk out. From beginning to end they deliver all that you would want them to.
The show. Well there are two. One at 10.45 is fun, playful and a little saucy. The other at 12.15 is hot, raunchy, passionate and right on the money. The gogo boys on stage are the same ones in the show so if you like 20 something Thai boys cavorting around practically naked on stage then this is the show for you. If not...why are you reading this forum? The business model is absolutely fantastic...get your product to advertise themselves to potential customers by showing what they can do.
The one part I do not like are when the B Boys come on stage. Their skill is breathtaking. But their act is a highwire and in parts extremely dangerous and I don't want to see a boy with broken limbs on the stage.
In short I think X-Boys Pattayaland offers good value for money. They have a high end product and charge high end prices for it.

Getting back to the topic. I went to both shows last night and both had ramped up the sexy factor. The second one had a pair of twins (stunners) totally naked in the shower. It could have been creepy but it was merely playful. As I was the only customer I was able to join in.

Thanks to this thread and the critique by 'arsenal' I visited X-boys Pattayland for the first time last night. Have to say he is right on with evaluation of boys. I've been here near two weeks and had almost given up on finding nice experienced boys well built but not crazy muscled. I'm tired of the inexperienced boys that expect full tip or more for doing nothing for customer and we do all for them.

I was determined not to Off a boy last night and was going to take a break for a night. But when the show started with a parade of good boys with hard dicks came marching on stage, all bets were off.

I disliked the B Boys taking so much of the precious limited show time as I have seem them performing at other venues. But back to the sensual show which started promptly at 10:00 instead of the 10:30 reported by Arsenal. Short but very good. Afterward, when the go-go parade of boys started number 5 from the big dick parade was on stage making the rounds with the best smile and electric personality. I had to reciprocate the smile and soon I was inviting him to join me for a drink. Motorbike boys got us to my hotel in Jomptien and he was as nice as could be in the room. He had told me in the bar he was 50/50 gay but Mamasan told me while he was changing that he was all man but would make me happy and he was a good boy. She was so right.

This boy, Wat I think his name was, (#5) was a total delight and worked very hard to make me happy. My disappointment with Pattaya after half a dozen good visits in past years was totally restored. I'm only here a few more nights but will most definitely Off number 5 again and maybe another one or two. There seems to be some confusion between the two X-Boys bars.

X-Boys Bar (the original) has shows at 10:00 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and 12:45 a.m.
X-Boys Land (the new bar where DavidтАЩs used to be) has shows at 10:45 p.m. and 12:15 a.m.

The two bars sometimes share dancers in their shows, but each mainly rely on in-house talent.
They both make use of the B-Boys in their shows.

The drink prices in both bars are 180B for non-alcoholic and 200B for alcoholic.

I like the shows at both very much...but am I the only one that is getting a little tired of the B-Boys? Yes, they are very athletic and I wouldn't mind seeing them occasionally, but last time I was in Pattaya they were all over the place.

Anyway, looking forward to being back soon and the both Xboy bars are high on the list to visit.

Joe552, it seems that both bars tend to have a mix of boys from slim to athletic (not much muscular guys) in body type. There is a good range (effeminate to masculine) to choose from in both bars to make most customers happy.

The guys in X-Boys Land are certainly a lively group dancing and flirting with customers. I found this rather refreshing given the bored looks most of the guys in the neighbouring bars greet customers with. The difference may be that the X-Boys guys are also perfomers in the shows and this provide a good alternative to mindless boredom from standing on stage listening to the same music night after night.

Just arrived in Pattaya this evening. I normally spend my time in Sunee, but didn't feel like making the trek all the way down there in this humidity. Where is the fucking cool season?

Anyway, I decided to drop in on the X bar(s). They really should come up with more differentiable names. Anyway I ended up in X Boys Land. Out of all the boys on stage only 1 or 2 really appealed to me. But I liked the vibe. Some of the guys were even DANCING! I didn't think I would ever see such a thing. I saw the 10:45 show. Bar was fairly full which is always nice for the atmosphere. I liked the goofy nature of the show. It was almost deconstructionist. Personally I thought the B boys was the best part of the show. But I don't spend all of my time here so maybe I have not become bored with it. One of those boys was totally stunning and I would have let him dance all over me. The idea that they are offable certainly piques my interest even more.

After the show I had Wit (#4) sit with me for a while for a drink. He's the gorgeous Cambodian boy. Very sweet. Speaks more English than most gogo boys. He was one of the stars of the show and was one of the guys who danced the most during his time on stage which always attracts me. If I wasn't so tired I probably would have brought him home with me. Sounds like I need to see that later show? I'm still here a few more days...

Amazingly, the management of X-Boys seem to be mulling over whether to open a third bar in the new year. So, if you find it confusing to differentiate between them now, wait until you have three of them to choose from.

The owner and his team are to be commended, though. They have come up with a winning formula for sure. I was in X-Boys last night for the show and there was not a seat available in the bar. My only criticisms are that the owner really needs to put his two 'mamasans' in check. They are absolutely annoying beyond comprehension hitting up customers for drinks plus tips. I no longer respond to there ridiculous requests and just sit and ignore them.

And he needs to ban smoking in the bar. It is just plain disgusting and ruins the entire atmosphere. Plus, we all know by now the public health risks caused by smoking. Interestingly, I have never seen anyone smoking in X-Boys Land bar. So kudos to that bar for enfocing a good rule.

That's interesting. I was a bit surprised at the complete lack of pushiness in X Boys Land. There seemed to be one waiter/captain who barely interacted with me at all which was certainly not a negative thing. The guy who took my drink order doubled as the DJ during the show. So maybe you should stick to Land? No smoking in the bar while I was there. I think one guy who was a smoker was outside on the patio and just came in for the show. There were already some other people in the bar when I arrived as well so I didn't feel like all eyes were on me.

As long as smoking is allowed in X-Boys I plan to avoid going there. Usually I go to X-Boys Land where I strongly agree with your description of a smoke free, relaxed and fun atmosphere. And, yes, I have also never had a single staff member ask for a drink or a tip. They do leave you alone to just enjoy your drink, the guys and the show.

Just looking over the reports it strikes me that here is general praise for a busy/very busy venue which is charging 200B (c. ┬г4.50/$7) for an alcoholic drink.

This seems contrary to a lot of opinions on other threads that many BT area bars have "priced themselves out of the market" at around the same prices.

The message seems to that if the product is right, people will happily pay 200B per drink (no poster has moaned at the prices) and the definition of the product being right seems to be, attractive and animated boys, no pushing for drinks/tips, interesting entertainment/show, and separate sections of the venue where smokers can smoke and non-smokers can avoid it.

Of course it has to be taken into account that it is now High Season so bars generally ought to be busier - but interesting nevertheless how this venue seems to be getting it right whereas others (judging by complaints) seem to be getting it spectacularly wrong

Agree 100% Scots. I mentioned in a thread from several trips ago that I paid 200 baht for a CAN of Singha beer during one of their special nights, and worth every bit of it. XBoys is also pretty busy during low season, which says a lot as well.

I do think there are only so many of these places that can be supported. There is still a place for less expensive, hands on alternatives (probably more Sunee though) as well as host bars, etc. the challenge for the bar owners is to find a unique, exciting hook to get people in the doors.

XBoyland best show boybar in Pattaya for sure and a contender for best gogo boybar as well. Toy Boys and Funny Boys are the other
contenders in Boyztown and all the other Boyztown area boybars suffer in comparison althou one can find a winner anywhere.

Have been here for 3 weeks: no one off from X-boyz (and Toy too), one from X-boyzland, one from Happy Place, three from Copa.

In Moscow prices start from 3000-3500 rubles (1 ruble = 1 baht) for "a couple of the hours" and there is no "a gogo bar" system, so all the boys are freelancers and use Internet forums like this one or visit gay disco-clubs. Oh course, there are some disco-clubs (like NAB, Idol, but with enrtrance fee).
S-Petersburg is a bit cheaper.
