Just wondering - do I pay Bangkok or Pattaya prices in Chiang Mai?

you could always just DO WITHOUT !! I mean you don't have to have sex in EVERY city you visit ! absolutely shockingly sluttiness and I think a few days without sex would give you time to think about your behaviour and how to amend it !!!

( alternatively you could just surmise from my message that I'm as jealous as hell !!! lol )

Oh and to answer your question Pattaya prices as far as I was always concerned anyway - not that I ever tended to differentiate that much anyway it has to be said.

Nope in Chiang Mai you'll pay neither Bangkok or Pattaya prices; here it's Chiang Mai prices :bounce: . Anyway (playing dumb :8( ), what prices is it you want to know about?

Lot's of cheap accommodation, but limited public transport. No meter taxi's or motorcycle taxi's. Buses are like the Pandas (can only find them in the zoo), songthaews (red trucks) are cheap and convenient for the main routes in daytime but, along with tuk-tuks, their driver's believe all Farangs are cash cows. Riding motorbikes might seem like a good alternative, but between the current drink drive clampdown, hospital bills and the rampant rental scams it will likely cost you dear.

Food and Drink is still very cheap, especially in local Thai places of which there are so many. Farang orientated places generally charge much more, especially in tourist areas, though still generally cheaper than BKK.

If the question was how much to hire a male prostitute, I couldn't possibly comment, though I hear rumours that it's a bit cheaper than other places. An un-reliable police source told me that negotiations for getting out of the underage street urchin scam around the Night Bazaar start at around 200,000 Bt. Hard to confirm as most Farang victims of this scam are understandably coy about the experience. :dontknow:

When I was in Chang Mei I used to give the guys 1,500 for a short time and they were pleased. As I never gave them less I dont knpow what the reaction would be to 1,000 or even less than that but they were ok with the 1,500 and probably understandably so. :dontknow:

Let me tell you a secret. I would think that in 1 out of 5 to 7 encounters in Chiang Mai, there have been money involved.
We are all differnt, but I dont think I am THAT young or THAT fit.
If money has been involved it has more been like in the morning eating breakfast: Kuhn GMD can you please help me with ....., and my answer has always been sure.
Maybe I am different, but when I am in CM, I dont see the gay scene as an only commercial gay scene. Maybe that is also because I am socialising with the same groups of friends, when I am there.
Some years ago my reputation was almost in bad shape within this group, because I was butterflying to much around.

I am almost sure, that should I ever relocate to Thailand is would be in Chiang Mai.

Oh Gat in Denmark, don't get me wrong, Chaing Mei is a wonderful and beautiful city. A little spread out but really very beautiful. If I were not her in Pattaya and settled I would choose Chaing Mei in a heart beat. I am settled here and a move like that would certainly not help me out physically. Check out the palace and the gardens, the parks and zoo and the entire city in general. Anyone who lives there, I am jealous.

I liked my last short stay there in june so much. Will visit again one week in january. Never stayed so long time there but i like CM more and more. Visited every day HOM and had nice free sex there. In the night visited Adams Apple to see the show again after many years. The best room in Mercure is so cheap and all bars are only few steps away.
