A recent hotel booking for Hong Kong with asiarooms.com caused me some problems. Although the hotel had a room for me they said that the asiarooms.com booking was not valid due to the fact that they don't charge in advance. Also, apparently their credit card machine would not accept either of my cards so I had to go looking for a bank.
Has anyone else had problems with hotels not honouring asiarooms.com hotel bookings.

Just for clarity - did the hotel match the Asiarooms rate or did you have to pay more?

Scottish-Guy: They matched the price, they had my asiarooms.com booking e-mail. I am in no doubt that this was simply to get cash and avoid the commission or tax. They admitted this unintentionally by claiming they had "tried to contact asiarooms.com." What does that mean, contacting any company except facebook is piss easy. I have notified asiarooms.com.
