WOO HOO тАУ Happy Place certainly knows how to throw a promotional event. If you werenтАЩt there you missed a good one! It was the inaugural night of the new Boy Bingo on the 11th. Now they have two boy bingos in a month, and to celebrate they offered double prizes.
LetтАЩs start from the beginning. You went in, and there was a тАЬbuy one drink get one freeтАЭ offer. Then, every customer got a free тАЬoffтАЭ for a boy of their choice. Finally the bingo cards were тАЬbuy 2 get one freeтАЭ. What more could you expect? Well, to make things really go with a swing, they were offering double prizes, but more of that later.
The cards were sold, the big marker pens handed out, and the number started to be called. Eventually there was a call of тАЬBingoтАЭ and a winner. They got to pick a sealed envelope, and they were asked not to open it until the end. Two more winners completed the first game.

Then the numbers off the boys were collected in. Initially it had been decided to give one lucky boy, chosen at random 3,000B. However earlier that evening the boys voted to give each of three boys 1,000B, spreading the winnings round a bit more. A number was picked and Beer was the lucky winner.

Then there was another round of bingo, and three more customers won envelopes. A new number was picked from the bucket and Pek was drawn. 1,000B went to him!

A final round of bingo, three more winners and the final boy picked. This time it was Jack. Well done to all the boys, who will no doubt go out and spend their winning soon!

Now the time we were all waiting for. The customers in turn were asked to open their envelopes and read out the prizes. One lucky customer had three! Our man didnтАЩt get any (ahhhh!). Noted among the prizes were 6 bottles of spirits (2 to a win), and various vouchers. These included 5,000B worth of stay at Baan Souy, 2,000B at the Cafe Des Amis, 2,000B at Brunos and assorted others.The grand prize тАУ a free off and 2,000B to the boy of your choice, was awarded to two people who both called тАЬBingoтАЭ at the same time.
All in all it was a great night and with two bingos a month (the 11th and the 22nd), there is plenty of time for our man to win prizes. However next time they wonтАЩt be doubled, and next time there wonтАЩt be the super bonuses.
Well done to all at Happy Place for putting on such a fun evening. The party continued with two shows, but our man had another appointment and couldnтАЩt stay. However if we find out he missed a great show, there will be trouble :P
