Taxi for hire in London

I've spent a lovely summer in London and I'll be heading home in a week or so.
It's been a bit chilly as of late and so I'm looking for a reliable taxi to shuttle me and the BF about.
I'm not looking for chatter or to wind up like poor Diana...so somewhere in between that, would be nice ;)

I learn something knew every day Diana died in Lomdon in the back seat of a taxi wow I more likely to die in a Bangkok taxi.

I believe that jinks used to run a taxi service in London if that is any help to you.

Wrong AGAIN, my service and home are in Birmingham (not Alabama)

I am now semi-retired working 15 - 20 hours a week.

I read the board at least once a week now instead of 5 times a day, oh so restful.
