Have you tried the new Thai Beer named Phuket? The taste is very good. I only wonder why they gave it the name Phuket. I really dislike that place.

Never heard of it. I'm still yearning for the return of the best Thai beer.

I will see if I can get a few of each if they are even available here in Thailand. Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately, they stopped producing Kloster a few years back.

Phuket beer has been around for a while ... however what was launched at the 2012 Pattaya Food and Hotelier Expo that my company happened to attend is PATTAYA BEER.

I'm no beer expert but tasted ok to me ... tho my staff loved it. Or may be that was because of all the free samples! Seemed expensive tho at a retail price of B80 a large bottle ... personally I allowed the various wine purveyors to force their products on me!

Because it's very overpriced.

I first saw it on the shelves at Villa supermarket at least 5 years ago. It was 48 Baht a bottle and that was at a time when a bottle of Heineken in the same store was 30 baht. It's brewed by San Miguel.

First had Phuket beer in a Thai Restaurant in Southampton UK, and wasn't overly impressed, that was several years ago. The second time was in a Thai restaurant in the Channel Islands (they didnt have Singha :crybaby: ) I have never seen in Thailand (not even in Phuket!!!!),

Yes, Phuket Beer has been around for ages. I saw it today in Villa (Bangkok) at 55 Baht for a 330cL bottle (Heineken was, I think 41 Baht).
