Singapore Airlines has a special from Houston to Bangkok and return for $1350. Check on Travelocity.

Singapore Air has decent fares from several places in the US including the East Coast. I will fly them or Delta this year.

What drives me bonkers about Delta is their arrival and departure times out of BKK, but that is where my Frequent Flyer Miles lie. The Thai flight from LA now also arrives late into the evening.
