Just returned from a long break at home.
Booked into the Suriwong Hotel (floor 3), had a wonderful seafood meal in the soi leading to the Rose hotel, went for a (real) massage beside the Tarntawan hotel and then headed for soi "Twilight".
As is usual for me my first few drinks were taken in the bar on the left attached to "Hotmale"a go-go. The jug of beer is good value there and to share is appreciated by the staff.
I wandered along the Soi visiting the many (for me) new open bars. For a while I found it difficult to face up to a reality that was unfolding before me, namely that a lot more than half the patrons were straight women, 'falang' and 'asian' coming in twos and fours, with fag friends or without, "dragged' into the go-go bars by the touts who assured them that the bar 'have many lady inside already' and so on as they protested and made a show of being reluctant observers of the big cocks. But many of them who came to scoff remained to prey. Many of the finest boys in BBB were marched off by them while the gays slunk in their seats- put in their rightful place once again- perverted loosers in the competition for straight boys.
AND ALL THIS IN BARS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GAY VENUES.
So how long more will the bar owners in "Soi Twilight" have it both ways? It's up to the gays themselves.
My view is that the place should be added to many locations where women can pick up straight boys and gays should abandon the place and start again elsewhere. The least the homosexuals deserve, after travelling thousands of miles, is the same freedom enjoyed by the hetrosexuals to socialise with straight women/men.
I did abandon the place and found myself in Sunnee Plaza but as yet I've not been to Boystown. Sunnee has a good feel to it, neighbourly/neighborly, reasonable prices, a good variety of bars but very quiet. I noticed a strange mixture of women and children on the terrace of a big go-go bar there but thankfully little sign of the many street children I used to see there.
Tomorrow "boys" town which by now is probably another ladies' boy town.

Just move up the road to a bar that has fewer ladies amongst the customer base.

i often wonder what the women who off the guys think / are they even aware that the guys THEY are offing also then go with gay guys and fuck them / get fucked by them - whilst being a guy I personally couldn't care less who's fucking who as long as I'm getting my share lol - but I would have thought that women may have been a bit more choosy in their partners and would not perhaps like the idea of the guy they are with giving it or taking it up the ass with perhaps an (older) guy maybe half and hour before he's fucking them ??

Or perhaps in the "chat" when the guy tells them he's straight ( as I assume he does to improve his chances of a off) do they they assume that means he doesn't go with guys and is there only to be off'd by girls !?? Or perhaps I'm just giving women too much credit and they are equally just as much a pack of dirty hornballs as the rest of us ! - present company included of course and simply couldn't care less who's fucking them as long as they get off !? :-)

Of course...it still needs two to fuck, even in the str8 world!

It's not about where women go or how many go there- it's about gay people maintaining a space for themselves in a world where such space is scarce and I think getting scarcer.

Germain Greer, femenist philosopher who harkens back to a mythical age when females ruled the world until masculine evil ruined it, promotes gay venues and gay porn (no joke) as pathways for women to 'reclaim' their natural right to enjoy the carnal delights of male nudity. (excluding of course any interest in male mentality) thus the reason for her writing the more than slightly paedeophillic book "The Beautiful Boy".

She's entitled to her whacky philosophy and can enjoy the carnal delights of the male body as she wishes but not in a space shared by me purporting to be a gay venue.
If you buy, or better still, borrow the book "The Beautiful Boy" cut out the pictures (but not the paedo. ones- Ms Greer can get away with more than you can) and throw away the whacky script.

Made a quick visit to Boy's town last night- very quiet and now like Bangkok offering many massage venues. Perhaps the many new massage venues now springing up in Thailand is the gay market's solution to high bar prices and mixed gender policies?

Well I don't know whether you're right or not but if so I hate to burst your bubble as when I sat in a boystown bar on my last trip I watched the massage guys asking the usual "Masssaagggge" question to all the guys that past them and THEN also ask the same question of all the women so it seems that not even that bastion of gayness is safe anymore :-(

I guess the issue is do the go go bars hold themselves out as being fexclusively gay customers. The answer is of course not. So while the majority of the clientele might be gay most are happy with female customers every now and then. In fact I strongly suspect many would prefer a strictly female clientele if they could get sufficient customers in order to keep the straight go go boys happy with getting paid to smash free pus.sy

actually to take the discussion to it's logical conclusion I guess we should actually be just as pissed off at the go go club owners for even employing straight guys at all !! As if our arguement is that women shouldn't be allowed as it should be a gay place for gay people then if we are being true to that statement then we should be banning straight guys as well and insisting on them only employing gay go go guys.......don't worry I have NO doubt that that is never going to happen as I know the sluts that some of are we couldn't care less if a guy is gay or straight just as long as he performs lol - but the logic still stands.

Well wait a second on that one NIrish. Personally i don't like gay boys or lady boys, I like straight boys. So you see that doesn't work with your senerio. I am also sure by the way I see many of the boys getting offed in my bar, the majority like straight boys. :occasion9:

and this shows just how fucked up us gays tend to be .... we have one who hates being near women if hes in a gay area ... what ever a gay area is ??? can you really tell a woman she cant walk down a certain street because its a gay street !!! and if you could .. would that then mean that gay men shouldnt be allowed to walk down non gay streets ... you'd be well fuckered getting to your gay area then wouldnt ya !!!!
and we have a gay man who only likes straight boys !!!!!! thats a bit of a weird one to work out ... because if they where straight you wouldnt be having sex with them ...
oh thailuv ... how would that work also ... would you allow straight guys into your gay only streets ???
see what a can of worms you've opened ??

I think Thailuv is on the right track - so many types of people piss me off that should I ever realise my dream and open my bar in BT or Sunee it would be strictly entry by invitation only.

lol - I should point out for the record that I wasn't proposing that we "actually" ban straight guys from our gay clubs / go go bars - as lets face it if that was the case them speaking personally if I'd have never managed to come out as I wouldn't even have managed to to make it over the door of a gay club so probably wouldn't have even realised that I like guys better nor got the confidence to do anything about it! I was merely taking the "should we ban women thing" to it's logical conclusion and showing where it could take us if we were not careful :-)

But i have to say I'm not "that" fussed on sex with "actual" straight guys ( I certainly don't mind the one's who say they are str8 and then enjoy the sex even more than I do lol) but the "actual" str8 guys who you can tell are simply going through the motions and are most certainly not enjoying themselves at any level - and in fact actually erhaps looking down their nose slightly at you because you're gay and "beneath them" -both physically and literally perhaps - no, I can do without those guys - but, being such a slut ( apparently) I chose not to descrimate and so being an equal opportunities fucker I tend to just fuck everyone equally and if I do think about it I consider the "I wonder was he "really" gay thing or not long after he's left the building - and as that's always usually after the main event I usually come to the conclusion that I couldn't care less by that point anyway ! lol

When I first started going to Pattaya, I assumed all the boys in the bars/clubs/go-go's were gay. Now I know differently. I tend to seek out boys who are gay, and it's not that difficult. I'm not talking about obviously very femme boys who do nothing for me. But a bit of time spent with a boy will tell whether he's actually gay (as in he genuinely prefers sex with men) or just gay for pay. Since I tend to look for a boy that I can spend time with outside the bedroom and the bar, I think that's important (for me, at least).

Hmm- When in TH=mainly BKk I have visited quite a lot of them-maybe following up on that mr.mack without shame. BUT; to annoy you further, some of those places also cater discretely to ladies. BodyClub-most wellknow due to its ads in the BKk[post for a few monthes even ran ads like '' for men and women''-massage by men.
But as such in BKK it is indeed amazing how many of those places exist, that new ones seem to open on a monthly base andf they ar spread all over town, with most in non-touristy areas and often very surprised to see a farang entering.

Out of interest do those same "out of the tourist areas" massage places offer the same (happy) endings or would they tend to be more "just" masage ( I'd hate to make a mistake if I ever went to one lol ) - and if they do as they are outside the main strips are the massage / tips prices lower accordingly or just the same ( not that I care or would go to them to save 50 baht lol I'm just wondering )

LOL --this is what amazing Thailand can be all about --the MIX :party

Ok DB how do you define a "straight " boy here ??

I hear it all the time here -- OH " he poochai but can be bottom/top" --You just got to love the grey areas here in Thailand

My own BF is gay versa bottom but loves that he looks like a Poochai guy --

My Phil friend is very frustrated here with the Thai boys --not as clear cut as it is in Manila for him --

I guess that only liking straight guys must be a fetish. :-) Personally, I don't like straight acting boys. They may look straight but when they act all boyish/macho like, I lose interest very fast.

But on the topic, when I have a choice, I don't visit bars/clubs that have female (lesbians too) customers. In VN I might have to settle for it every now and then, but I be damned if I do that in Thailand.

Re the straight boys ??
