One should assume that there are as many lesbians as gays. But lesbians are fare less present (in public, internet, media, business): I don't know of any lesbian bar, lesbian sauna, lesbian massage, lesbian message board or lesbian pride. So the absence of lesbians on this board just reflects this fact.

I even have a theory why it is this way: men can reproduce once per day (more or less), women once per year. Hence the lower interest in reproduction related subjects (read: sex).

Oh well dear joe522, I dont mind to go to at "mens only" bar, we have 1 in Copenhagen, even if it is not allowed, because of some kind of lequality law. Someway they have found out how to manage it. Some kind of membership even if you dont need it?
And yes the bar I met the lesbians in CM, was not a totally gay bar, but a bar where the majority of the customers are gay men. Funny place with not to many farangs.

Going by what I have read, spoken about, and experienced - the general consensus is that it is overpriced and that many of the boys are disinterested/have an attitude problem.

It may be illegal, but it still happens - and you have indicated a few ways round it, and of course the biggest loophole is that even if you were to be allowed IN, the landlord/staff have the absolute right to refuse to serve you without giving a reason.

As for taking the matter further - if you were denied access or service because you have a cock, you would find that the police, the licensing authorities, and the legal establishment would not be in the least interested in taking on your case. However if you were a female being denied access or service due to a "men only" policy then all hell would break loose and the aforementioned bodies would be tripping over themselves to fight for your rights.

If anybody doubts that lesbian only bars exist, I will nominate "FHQ" in Glasgow (I'm sure our dear readers can figure out the name).
I will also mention a bar which closed some years ago but which some members might recall - "Sadie Frost's" - which had a wimmins area (blocked off by doors) in which no testicles were allowed.

As far as bars and things, for 1/2 my life I was in Long Island New York where we ran the largest gay sex toy manufacturing in the USA. We looked at many of the lesbian bars in and around Long Island and trust me there were a lot. We always were trying to figure out why lesbians would not purchase any of the goods we offered and also manufactured to the lesbian community and came to realize that women in general did not have the same disposable income as men. Were not as sexually active same as men. I'm sure you know that lube sachets have a shelf life (of sorts - most increase in viscosity) as do condoms - although sachets aren't dated like condoms, I don't believe.
