Hi all

I just joined this wonderful forum.

I just came back from a wonderful holiday in Bangkok and Pattaya, and I have fallen madly in love with this country, the food, the nature, the cities... and the brown-eyed beautiful boys :-) I was there with some of my straight friends, so I didn't have much time to look for hot boys... :-(

I really want to come back soon and experience the gay life and gay community in Bangkok or Pattaya or another place. Any suggestions how to approach this and where to start....?

Take a hotel room in the Silom area and wander around the local establishments. It's not at all difficult. (If you do a search in the forum you'll find lots of advice on good hotels that are gay freibdly and a food value.)

If you're expecting 'community' in the Western sense, you'll have a hard time finding it. The vast divide between straight and gay is just not found here.

I hope you return and enjoy yourself. I have for twenty years and it is always a pleasure to be here (as I am right now).

There are plenty of more experienced folks here that can give you good advice.

decide if you want the commercial scene-or-some do have principles-if not-that makes it a little harder. decide if youre a real cityboy=that means BKK here, or rather not-then try Pattaya or maybe even better Chaingmai.
There are numerous fora and listings- a better one, as its written and not just lists: nickysgaybangkok. Other ditto sites are dreadedned (often very outdated-but theyre working at it), gayscout, dragoncastle (who seem to have given up being uptodate) and dozens of ditto Thai.
Another way is to become member of gayromeo and try to make some contacts before you even arrive. Do know that even if not under escort-many may expect some form of reward anyway-maybe also depends on your age.
There used to be a very nice series of books-long ago, before this www came, named TMOT+The Men of Thailand, that somehow had all the basic info one needed to peruse the scene. Sadly, there is no real good replacement for it online.
People on this board will always welcome you and do not get tired of giving the same info one more time. But IF you post-please be specific, do not ask for ''a nice hotel'' but quote price, requirements etc. And if you want it to be 100gay or not. etc. Welcome to this beautiful country and lots of fun in the preplanning.

How do you guys know it's Pong? Are you all chatting behind the scenes about his IP address, or something?

What happens if this guy is actually genuine? What a shitty welcoming to receive...

Funnily enough, he stepped up his posting right at the same time another member stopped - his new found English language skills probably explain his surge in confidence

Ohhh, well there goes my powers of observation, I guess. Same as I didn't even know latin was banned.

Anyway, in that case carry on with your bashing. :)

And DaBoss, do you bother checking IPs, or do you even know what an IP is? I got your PM, and sorry for not replying, but you seem to be comparing people due to reg dates. I'm not sure if you know or not, but in case you don't, everytime someone posts their IP address will get logged. You can find it within your kinky admin panel. From there, you can lookup their location (country & generally city too), by entering their IP in one of many sites, such as here:
http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup

No IP addresses or info is shared on this forum as it would be a grave misuse of the forums privacy rules. All information that everyone is working with is registration dates, writing styles, amount of posts and their sujects etc. All information that everyone on this forum has access to. :dontknow:

Ohhh, bullshit. For a living, I develop software systems that are probably 300 times the size of this forum software, so trust me, you have access to the IP addresses. Maybe you just don't know about it yet.

I'm not asking you to share the IPs, but just letting you know that you do have access to them, and can lookup locations based on them. I wasn't sure whether or not you knew you can get a general location based on IP.

He didn't say we don't have it, we do, but it will never be shared on this forum.

You would be suprised how many .cn and .pl people never pass the starting post.

Hi cdnmatt....of course he has access to the IP address but it wouldn't at all be definitive would it. Any of us would just need to use a simple VPN like Witopia (or a host of others) and you can appear to be coming from almost anyplace in the world with just 2 clicks of your mouse.

Hi ChelseaNY and Pong,

Thanks for your feedback. I am looking sooooo much forward to my next holiday in Thailand. I think it will be BKK. Renting a hotel room in the Silom area and then just walk around. Hopefully there are nice thai guys willing to guide me a little ... I'm okay with being very generous with them :-) I don't have a problem with that at all. It seems to be quite natural in thailand that you are generous (gifts, buy food etc.) when you are older and have more money (which most western guys would have compared with a local young thai guy, relatively speaking of course).

I have heard a lot about moneyboys, and I think I met a few during my last stay in Pattaya. What is your advice on them?

??? I'm guessing you actually meant PH not PL there ? - unless of course there has been a mad rush of Polish people all trying to join without us all noticing ??? :-)

decide if you want the commercial scene-or-some do have principles-if not-that makes it a little harder.

Quite a lot of us have well considered principles that respect the right of people to earn a living how they please. That comes from careful thinking, rather than just following intolerant theological rhetoric.

Also people who choose to work in a gogo bar deserve a lot more respect than (for example) those who choose to spend their lives living on handouts (from our taxes).

Thanks jinks, obvious cdnmatt likes to blow off his ass without reading what was written. You are correct cdnmatt and jinks, we have access to whatever we need BUT we do not share anything with other users as you suggested we did in an earlier post. May I suggest you READ posts before you spout? :occasion9:

Welcome to this board. A good place to start would be gayromeo (online) or bars in Soi 4, DJ-station or Soi Twilight when in Bangkok.

Your avatar is my type. If you have more information about this boy, please share (PM me).

Just read your post again, and I'll stick with what I said. You said, and I quote:

All information that everyone is working with is registration dates, writing styles, amount of posts and their sujects etc.

That, and if you knew what you were doing, you would have already come to a conclusion, instead of publicly asking Smiles about his thoughts on who is who.

Oh dear-again someone who gets inflamed without realising that I meant about the same as you seem to. I ONLY wanted to point out that for SOME newbies -from the western world-it does make a diff if the scene is commercial or not. Some step over that easily-others not. IF you had cared to read many of my posts, you would have known I visit them regularly-outside of that Silom tourist ghetto. And you would also have noted that religious Political preaching is about the last I would do- rather hack and laugh at it and make it as idiot as possible. PLUS that- USAer?- you seem to do exactly the same in your tirade about spending your oso hard earned taxmoney onto crippled, handicapped and other people here in TH who would benefit enormously from it instead of having to sit on streets to gather coins.
Seems to me that many people are more out to preach their own gained self-insight and overreact at anything that might faraway seem to hurt it a little bit.

Actually after checking i realised that Smiles uses ... "space triple dot" in his posts ...

So myself and Smiles are not the same person... Phew! (knew i could never be that grumpy :violent1:

I am sure that TopJohn5, Khun Oh, Khun Suphot and my BF (the only 4 people in the world to have seen Myself and Smiles simultaneously...)
Will be delighted to know their vision is ok!

Colmx. come on now. The use of ... was just ONE of a few hints as to the identity of the poster in question. It is used throughout his posts and indicates his writing style. That piece of info was not meant to be taken by itself in isolation.

Otherwise, I could also be him. What a scary thought!

March 10th, 2012, 13:00
Don't fret A447, he knows everything living up there in those sticks supporting an entire tribe.
Your opinions like everyone else's are always read by everyone but I am just curious at just how far one might think to get by acting so nasty to someone who certainly has the upper hand on you by referring to them in such condesending terms. But then again, you must know what you are saying.

Hi christianpfc,
The avatar is a pic of a boy that use to work at Forest Bar. He is gorgeous and knows it. He also did porn for privateboymovie. He was taken off the market about 2 years ago by a young, wealthy but truly ugly and grossly obese Austrian (I believe). I have his number and name. PM me if you want it.
Cheers!

Hi TopJohn5,

Thanks for the bonus information about this beautiful boy. I knew he had done some amazing porn scenes and picture sets(Removed Link) but I didn't know where he came from and where he is now. I hope that Australian guy is nice to him :-)

He's really beautiful :-) He deserves to be treated like a prince! :-)

To all the rest of you who participated in this discussion: Thanks for you advice to me. You seem to have a lot of internal things going on here with each other - I'm not sure what that is about. But thanks to those of you who gave me some advice on where to start.
