Hi guys, i'm planning for my first visit to Bangkok at the end March. I am very very interested in visiting Tawan Bar and getting myself a guy from there (i prefer real muscular men).

Can you guys give me tips and guides about that bar. I heard that the men there are expensive and some are arrogant and you'll be disappointed with their service. Is that true? Care to share stories? What are the things (or who) i should avoid or such.

Thanks in advance.

yes-all what you =heard (read?) is true -as always SOMETIMES-in some days with some of the guys and with some of its customers. No one will ever be able to give you a recepy to avoid it all. It also has an awful lot to do with experience-in renting boys and being in THailand and not being too impressed too much.
As always the best advice is-assuming you have time enough to plow via multiple threads-to read this and other fora about it. A lot of those turned up when I started writing this, it should not be hard to find.
As this cult place seems esp popular among Singy's going for the assumed muscles (on steroids) a forum from there- TREVVY -might also be worthwhile. You can just read-forums-travelelrs-TH/BKK, but first you have to find a bit hidden button for read only (or subscribe and its much easier).
In fact it is among gogobars one of the friendliest in BKK-much less commercialism as in the soi Pratoochai bars-they know the money and punters are coming anyway. They now also have a massageshop beside- the SUn (=Tawan in Th), where you can enjoy their services too. Maybe a softer 1st time apporach.

. . . not being too impressed too much.

ThereтАЩs a lot of wisdom in PongтАЩs statement. And it was nice that you didnтАЩt have to decipher what he had to say for a change.

Tawan fills the muscle niche, but in the end it is just another gogo bar in a town filled with them. There is no reason to tip Tawan guys any more than you would the boys working Soi Twilight; they tend to get larger tips but are happy with the standard one.

Pong is also correct in that the guys at Tawan are a friendly group, youтАЩll enjoy yourself at the bar. The owner knows what he is doing, has been running a successful bar for decades, and keeps an eye on his guys. IтАЩve never noticed any arrogance in Tawan guys. They are usually warm, friendly, and not aggressive about you buying them drinks or tipping them.

Regardless of what youтАЩve heard, Tawan guys are not duds. No more than at any other bar in town. As with any other bar in town, you need to take the time to establish a rapport with whatever guy you are thinking about offing. And then be specific about anything your little heart is set on doing. Before you agree to the off. DonтАЩt be shy, tell the guy what you want. ItтАЩs doubtful youтАЩll come up with something he hasnтАЩt heard before. Ask if he is willing to do whatever and then realize any other answer than a firm yes means no. IтАЩve been offing guys from Tawan for years and have never been disappointed. I have been surprised quite often though.

Pass on their massage place. For some reason they went the opposite way and hired twinks as masseurs. If you want beefier guys for a massage, try Hero.
