An alleged Iranian hit squad used $27 portable radios to hide at least five bombs that Israeli and American authorities say they intended to use against Israeli targets in Bangkok, Thailand.

Exclusive photos of one undetonated bomb, obtained by ABC News, show the inside of the radio packed with tiny ball bearings and six magnets. Bomb experts say the magnets indicate the bomb was designed to be stuck to the side of a vehicle.

EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Bangkok Bombs

A surveillance photo of one of the alleged hit squad members, identified as an Iranian national named Saeid Moradi, shows him holding a radio in each hand.

According to authorities, a bomb exploded in the Bangkok house where Moradi and two other Iranians had been staying. After the blast, Moradi attempted to hail a cab. When the driver refused to pick him up, he allegedly threw a bomb, injuring four bystanders.

When police approached, Moradi allegedly threw another bomb, but lost both of his legs when it bounced back and exploded near him, according to Thai authorities. He was arrested following the incident and remains in custody in Thailand.

After the attack, police say they discovered two unexploded bombs in the house where Moradi and the other Iranians had been staying, including the one shown in the photos.

The authorities in Bangkok say they recovered more than a pound of white military explosive from one unexploded bomb that they said was to be detonated with an M26 hand grenade fuse. The photos show a pin that when pulled, authorities said, would trigger an explosion about four and a half seconds after it was pulled.

Israeli authorities and U.S. bomb experts say the bomb in the photos is strikingly similar to those used in other attacks last week in the republic of Georgia and India. "While there are small differences," said one U.S. expert, "they appear to be factory made."

Multiple authorities told ABC News the devices were either slipped through airport security or smuggled in a diplomatic pouch.

A magnetic bomb was discovered attached to the car of an Israeli diplomat in Tbilisi, Georgia and a similar device was believed responsible for the attack in New Delhi, which injured the wife of an Israeli diplomat, her driver and two passing motorists.

Iran has denied any connection with the arrests in Bangkok or to the other attacks.

This Moradi guy sounds like a real wizard.

First he blows up one of his radio bombs in his own dwelling...maybe inadvertently thinking it was the remote for his TV...then bounces one off a wall blowing his own legs off...and then gets arrested. Probably not voted the most likely to succeed by his classmates.

Yeah but they were also reported in saying that when he left a party he always went out with a bang and that he was also was the person that they most thought would definitely end up going up in the world (in smoke) but that he was a bit volatile and had what some described as an explosive personality ! lol

Dumb f*ckstick... He probably had a lifelong ambition to be useless and realised blowing off his legs was the final step. Shame he hurt a few innocents.

I don't know much about this whole Israel/Iran/Middle-east thing but if you're wondering why there's Iranian terrorists in Bangkok working on Israeli targets, this article explains the bigger picture. Looks like there's Iranian terrorists all over the world targeting Israeli people assets recently... The Iranians blame Israel for multiple assassinations of their Nuclear scientists. Bit of a deadly campaign going on here...

Have you been living in an a parallel universe all of your life?

How could any adult living on this planet and who posesses a modicum of intelligence (yes, I give you credit!) not know much about "the whole Israel/Iran/Middle-east thing"?

Scottish... We probably have a different definition of "much".

Yes, I'm aware of it and follow the headlines but I don't know all the ins and outs or the entire recent history behind that region. I know about Israel's previous incursions into neighbouring countries and their previous strike on Iran's nuclear facilities... but not in great detail.

Terrorists or tourists? Suspects partied with Thai prostitutes before blast
Lindsay Murdoch
February 23, 2012

For months three Iranian men meticulously planned a terrorist attack in Bangkok, making multiple trips to the country, obtaining C-4 explosives and grenades and laying a trail of coded stickers, apparently to mark their escape from the JW Marriott five-star hotel they were targeting.

According to Thai authorities the men were key perpetrators in a plot to attack Israeli diplomats amid an intensifying cold war between Iran and Israel.

On their final trip to Thailand, on February 8, ahead of the planned attack, they took time out to mix with sex workers and drink alcohol in the seedy resort city of Pattaya on the Gulf of Thailand.

For five days the men partied in the city that is best known for its raunchy go-go bars and one of the largest brothel areas in South-East Asia.

Mohammad Khazaei, 42, Saeid Moradi, 27 and Masoud Sedaghatzadeh, 30, blended easily among Middle Eastern sex tourists who......

Maybe he means the recent computer virus attack by Israel on Iranian nuclear centrifuges, which qualifies as cyber war.

The airstrikes in Iraq and Syria were before Beachlover was born.

Perhaps you are correct Christian. But the link provided by BL referenced air strikes.

So Christian, you know when BL was born? Don't believe all you read on the forums.

I see you posted the birth remark as tongue in cheek; I should have known. You did have me believing adding ice cubes to increase the volume of water in your drink!

Francois... I meant the air strikes in Syria. Like I said, the article was for newbies and my knowledge on the history of that area is minimal. You can stop huffing and puffing now! :rolling:

My friend, Inspector Closeau of La Surete Nationale, advises the year was on or before 1952. Close enough?
