Interesting... Cape Town might be a nice place to take a holiday.

Anyone gone there as a couple? What's good to do and see?

The only African city chasing the gay dollar
February 10, 2012

Perfectly sculpted bodies lie poolside at The Glen, a guesthouse that's the first listing on the Pink Map to Cape Town, handed out at the airport for the 225,000 gay tourists who visit every year.

Gay culture has flourished since the fall of apartheid, which harshly penalised homosexuality, as South Africa enshrined equal rights in its constitution and allowed same-sex couples to marry and adopt.

But no city in the country, or on the continent, has moved as aggressively as Cape Town to tap into "pink" tourism dollars, presenting itself as a model of tolerance and a magnet for international gay...

again chasing the pink rainbow $$? Was there once-2005/6 or so-free miles ticket. Great country, certainly worth longer repeat visit for its beauty. But that gay scene-3/4 places in a 100 mtrs stretch way out of centre is grossly overhyped. PLUS that right in that time were sensational reports in the local press about a hold-up at gunpoint of the gay sauna there-all valuables robbed. Now thats inviting to pay a visit.....
Beachy: these socalled neutral reports are paid advertising from people who have clever ways of doing ads without paying for them-they invite some journo's and let them be spoilt. The very same as Tel Aviv did a fortnight or so ago. And the same as Thai venues do toward the Thai clients: bribe some ''model'' or HiSo star-let him appear in all their mags and ads and hey presto-in come the punters.
Sydney's gay life ''around the cross'' I guess? is way to developed to need that.

Thanks for the alternate perspective, Pong... Interesting.

Yes, I know these sort of travel articles are usually the result of a deliberate PR campaign but there's usually some truth behind them.

Definitely talent in some places in SA, anyway...

Came across this profile in Youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMgjJTS63Ss4AODHwyb3ODw

It is a company called NSA5 that has a stable of guys for hire for "massages" and "personal services" (ahem) etc, but by being discreet on their vids, they have been able to put a few of them up on Youtube of the guys introducing themselves.

Some of the guys are smoking hot.

Unfortunately I have not been able to find any reviews online from anybody that used their services.

Have a gawk and drool =P~
