The new Ganymede Resort Hotel is scheduled to open Dec 24th, Christmas Eve. As a special Grand Opening promotion, all rooms (excluding Suites) are available for only 1200 Baht a night through January 31st, 2012.

Starting immediately, all Ganymede Resort & Spa guests will be entitled to unlimited free admission to the Sauna / Spa (open daily from 3pm-Mid). Enjoy a swim in our indoor pool, a steam, dry sauna, massage or just relax at our bar!

Residents simply show your room key anytime during your stay.

I did spent the last weekend at Ganymede Resort&Spa, aka Ganymede Bar&Guesthouse.
The Ganymede Bar&Guesthouse offered a great accommodation and a host-bar in a very friendly atmosphere and that was 2 years ago.

Over the last years the owner(s) managed to extend the original host-bar&guesthouse to a full-worthy Resort&Spa and apart from a white sand-beach there is nothing that can be wished for.

The first building of the complex contains the host-bar and hotel-rooms.
Next-door a boy-karaoke was established, but now it has more the function of a karaoke-lounge-bar.
The next building contains a nice decorated and modern coffee-lounge on the ground floor (as well as the reception for the hotel-part) and using the elevator will bring you to the accommodation part.
Behind those 6-8 units, you will find the Spa which contains: sauna, steam room, cruising-area, massage-rooms, shower-area, bar&smoking-area and a Jacuzzi.

The rooms (old as well as new rooms) are well equipped: king-size bed, ward robe, dressing table, seating area, (balcony), fridge, coffee and tea-making facilities, wifi, nice bathroom.

The coffee-lounge offers snacks and breakfasts.

The staff is very friendly during the day time and even friendlier during the evening :)

At the moment, construction is ongoing on top of the Spa-building; I'm not sure if that will become another extension of Ganymede Resort&Spa.
A few months ago, I've read somewhere, that the owner(s) were planning a total of 54 or 58 rooms.

And for a change........this is not a gay-friendly Resort&Spa, it's a straight-friendly gay accommodation. Can't imagine that the Spa will be visited by women, but one never knows in the future.
