Phuket motorcycle hire

There has recently been some negative publicity about scams in Phuket involving taxis, jet skis and so forth.

I will soon be visiting Patong and would like to hire a motorcycle. Can anyone recommend a reputable firm in that line of business?

Whilst of course being Phuket I can't guarantee you'll never have "any" problems but if it helps I can tell you that there's a small hotel ( sorry can't remember the exact name) but it's directly opposite the entrance to the Tony Resort hotel complex bang in in the Centre of the town and they were absolutely fine.

I hired from them, leaving a PHOTOCOPY of my passport and away I went, the bike was fairly new so I'd no problems there, it was reasonably priced in comparison to other places and when I left the bike back a bit (late) they didn't charge me any extra and nor did they rush out to inspect the bike to look for any damage to have the opportunity of scamming me, so I guess I would recommend them if that helps.
