Kuala Lumpur:
It's been a while since I went to Kuala Lumpur. Anyone have any updates on the gay night life there? Any changes? Can anyone clarify or confirm the details below?
Last time I went, MarketPlace, Oblique, La Queen and Blue Boy were the main gay nightclubs/discos in KL. But different clubs are busy on different nights and the crowd on each night is very different, strangly segregated by race/culture.
1. Marketplace is only gay on Saturday nights: Mainly frequented by English-speaking Chinese-Malaysians.
2. Oblique and La Queen, if I remember correct, are busy Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. BUT different nights are for different types. On one night the club/s will attract only Chinese-speaking Chinese-Malaysians and on other nights it will be ethnic-Malaysians.
3. Blue Boy is busy Saturday nights (not sure about other nights) but tends to only attact ethnic-Malaysians, some moneyboys and their older admirers.
I would be very grateful if someone who lives there or has been there recently can provide some accurate and up to date details on the information above. Anyone know any other clubs and bars to meet and chat up young gays there?
I would also love some suggestions on gay saunas (I know Day Thermos is good) in KL.
I know Senjakala Mens Spa is excellent for a massage and other spa services (professional). Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Penang/Georgetown:
Does anyone know of any gay nightlife, gay-oriented businesses or gay spots in Georgetown in Pengang, Malaysia?
Thanks! :happy7:
