The United Kingdom suffered the greatest loss of life after the Americans.

Apart from the approximately 2,669 United States casualties, 372 foreign nationals (excluding the nineteen perpetrators), representing just over 10% of the total number of deaths, also perished in the attacks. The following is a list of their nationalities (not accounting for some cases of dual citizenship). By far the foreign country with the largest loss of life was the United Kingdom, with 67 deaths (including the overseas territory of Bermuda). India lost 41, South Korea lost 28 and Canada and Japan lost 24 each. Colombia lost seventeen and Jamaica, Mexico and the Philippines lost sixteen each. Australia and Germany lost eleven each, while Italy lost ten.

The man had to be caught and killed just as he was responsible for the death of thousands of people. I am happy that I am around to see this murderer killed, My only regret is that he had a swift end to his own life.

He should have been been put to death like the Saudis do it. Eye for an eye.

My comment about reprisals, for the clown who thought otherwise, was a statement of probability that a number of commentators are making; it has nothing to do with whether or not the action should have been taken.

This is sort of funny of you to attribute this to the Saudis. The phrase an Eye for an eye comes from the Bible. Exodus 21:24

It seems strange to me that you would quote one passage from the Bible you like, but seem to miss what is proposed to be God on Earth in the form of Jesus saying, "You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth". But I say to you, do not resist an evildoer. If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also". (Matthew 5:38тАУ39, NRSV)

Sorry, but I do take your statement , attributing this phrase to the Saudis, as slightly racist. I do hope you did not mean it that way.

As far as I am concerned, I am proud of our American boys and our President for putting an end to this maniac. A trail would have been a ridiculous spectacle, or have you forgotten how stupid and grandstanding the Saddam's trail was. The Burial at sea was positively brilliant. There will be no grave for pilgrims to come to or honor this pig in any way.

This news sure spread quickly LOL...

- In the office someone suddenly yelled it out...

- then a client I was on the phone with blurted it out...

- a guy I don't know in the lift asks "how's your day going?" followed by "did you hear Bin Laden's dead?" (I bet the former was an excuse to blurt out the latter LOL)

- I walk into a client's office and the receptionist greets me by telling me Bin Laden's dead...

- I walk into my client's boardroom and he greets me with the same news...

- on the train, in the cafe, in the street I hear about a dozen conversations with the same news...

- I log on to SGT, click on "Gay Thailand" and think thank goodness no one's talking about it here... nope wrong, it's actually discussed in the Global forum LOL.

Anyway, I'm glad they got him. It's a huge morale booster. What a moment that must've been.

Some Brit friends of mine are looking forward to the US indicting those Irish American congressmen who supported supplying munitions to the IRA in the Seventies, Eighties and Nineties that inflicted so much terror on the British mainland.

Good point! Perhaps your friends would like to comment on this:

Northern Ireland Troubles
Bloody Sunday (Irish: Domhnach na Fola)[1]тАФsometimes called the Bogside Massacre[2]тАФwas an incident on 30 January 1972 in the Bogside area of Derry,[3] Northern Ireland, in which twenty-six unarmed civil rights protesters and bystanders were shot by soldiers of the British Army. The incident occurred during a Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march; the soldiers involved were the First Battalion of the Parachute Regiment (1 Para).[4] Thirteen males, seven of whom were teenagers, died immediately or soon after, while the death of another man four and a half months later has been attributed to the injuries he received on that day. Two protesters were injured when they were run down by army vehicles.[5] Five of those wounded were shot in the back.[6]
Two investigations have been held by the British government. The Widgery Tribunal, held in the immediate aftermath of the event, largely cleared the soldiers and British authorities of blameтАФWidgery described the soldiers' shooting as "bordering on the reckless"тАФbut was criticised as a "whitewash",[7][8][9] including by Jonathan Powell, chief of staff to former prime minister Tony Blair.[10] The Saville Inquiry, chaired by Lord Saville of Newdigate, was established in 1998 to reinvestigate the events. Following a twelve-year inquiry, Saville's report was made public on 15 June 2010, and contained findings of fault that could re-open the controversy, and potentially lead to criminal investigations for some soldiers involved in the killings.[11] The report found that all of those shot were unarmed, and that the killings were both "unjustified and unjustifiable." On the publication of the Saville report the British prime minister, David Cameron, made a formal apology on behalf of the United Kingdom.[12]
The Provisional Irish Republican Army's (IRA) campaign against the partition of Ireland had begun in the two years prior to Bloody Sunday, but public perceptions of the day boosted the status of, and recruitment into, the organisation enormously.[13] Bloody Sunday remains among the most significant events in the Troubles of Northern Ireland, chiefly because it was carried out by the British army and not paramilitaries, in full view of the public and the press.[2]

So what's your point, Undaunted or did you miss your last dose of Xanax? I said I was glad they got him and was commenting on how the news spread. You failed to mention the 88 Australians killed in the first Bali Bombings (not to mention subsequent ones).

I might do, what I wish all news outlets would do.

Take down the coverage on this terrorist, he is getting more publicity in death than he ever got when alive.

Every time you step into your own shit you blame others! Grab your balls and act like a man. I was in Bali after the second Bombing, I had a Boy from Java who lived in Kuta, I asked him to take me to the monument on the site of the destroyed night club, he took me...as I read the names on the bronze plaque he said "Oh not many Muslim names"...His callous ignorance is only eclipsed by your own.

I'm interested to see Person4AllSeasonsHotel is someone who is uncompromising in his belief in the Sicilian omerta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omert%C3%A0) code and hasn't fallen for all that namby-pamby stuff peddled by Jesus such as the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:39 (http://bible.cc/matthew/5-39.htm)). I guess it's appropriate that he's taken as his nick the title given to Sir Thomas More who was renowned for his intolerance of dissent and had his religious opponents burned alive (for their own good, of course) while claiming all the while to be a humanist. Now, does that remind me of a recently dead Moslem person? I wonder.
