"Maisie Trollette is coming to Thailand in May and will be performing at The Balcony on Tuesday 30th May. Her inimitable style will ensure you laugh from the start. She will have a number of supporting acts including тАШThe Dolly SistersтАЩ from Pattaya. This will be a very busy night so ensure you get here early to get a seat.

Also a reminder that our 8th Birthday will be on Thursday 4th May starting at 6.00pm тАУ lots of fun and games; a lucky draw; free dinks for members and a lot more so please put it in your diary now.

The Soi 4 Pink Party is on Wednesday 10th May. This is an occasion when all the gay venues in Soi 4 will get together and have a street party in aid of charity. There will be a Mr. and Miss Pink beauty contest; an auction; dancing; singing and a lot of street entertainment plus special events or special offers inside every venue. We hope you will all come along and enjoy the fun.

And is still happy hour all night on our other terrace all this month - happy hour prices for all house drinks all night!"

Presumably "goodlad" and other will see this as more shameless promotion by the business concerned?

I thought Balcony deserved a bit of promotion after the bashings on this board of late. They are good guys who support the gay community and charities well and make lots of lovely promotions to give us cheapo booze and a fun place to drink and eat.

If some don't like this nice place then there are plenty of other good watering holes in Sois 2 and 4 of Silom, not to mention Soi Duangthawee.

I wasn't bashing Balcony or any other business that is mentioned on this site, TeePee! I was bashing those who complain about businesses mentioning their forthcoming specials, attractions, etc. As someone who can get to LOS generally only twice a year, I like to read about what is going on in my favorite country!

cottman - sorry, but your post does read negatively even though you circumnavigate reponsibility who may think that thought. Similar to you may very well think xxxx but I couldn't possibly comment. However, I wrote that more because of my fondness for alliteration than to chastise.

AMARETTO ( a sweet almon lick-your ) Mazie Trollette is a veteran British Drag Artist who actually sings, with gravelly voice, ( as opposed to lip synching ) As a performer she has a wonderful sense of humour and invariably performs for charitable causes.

Good luck to Telephone , Balcony, Sphinx, Roxy and all the others. I know every year they raise a lot of funds for Bagnkok Pride, I am sure this year will be the same. I will be back in time for it and will donate.

Do you (or does anyone) happen to know if Maisie will be doing any weekend performances this tour? I was hoping to see her perform again, but as the 30th is a Tuesday, it's a bit difficult for me to sneak away from work...
