I would appreciate any help in discovering more about three hotels in Patong, all contenders for my custom later this year: the Ladebua Hotel, the AlFresco Phuket and the 7Q Hotel.

As well as general comments from any of you who might have stayed at them, I would appreciate information on how close they might or might not be to the Paradise Complex which is my preferred area (the maps on their websites are not very helpful).

Grateful thanks in anticipation of any advice.

All three of those hotels are relatively new, I think they all opened in the last half of 2010. Never stayed at any of them. Ladebua is closest to Paradise complex. It is near Birdcage GH and KN, all in the same soi that is across the street from Paradise. The other two are quite a ways from Paradise. Probably a bit far to walk unless you are keen on walking.

Wow, everytime I visit Patong/Phuket there are new hotels I've not heard of.

Public transport options are sh*t in Patong so you want to be within walking distance of everything if possible so stay near the centre of the beach.

I agree with rincondog...

- 7Q looks like it's right on the Northern end of Patong Beach, so too far from the centre.

- Alfresco looks like it's too far South along the beach and a fair distance inland.

- Ladebua looks pretty decent, is right in the centre of the beach and near Paradise Complex. Nice find. Anyone stayed here?

Thanks for the comments, guys... I've gone ahead and made the booking at Ladebua.
