Seem's it's the continuation of something.

Not the first bomb in Thailand this year and I am sad to say I don't think it will be the last.

Could you link to it?... Is this one in one of the Southern states or somewhere central like Bangkok?

This one - http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/securit ... rocks-yala (http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/security/221385/car-blast-injures-18-rocks-yala) - mentions injured but no fatalities.

Once again, Aljazeera has the most thorough report on the incident. Aljazeera's coverage makes the article from the Bangkok Post look like it was written by a child in kindergarten.

Anyway, this is in the deep south, over a thousand kilometers from BKK, and has been going on and running hot for several years now.

This is just crazy!! What can we homosexuals do to help prevent this type of recourse? Come on guys, if we band together we are a force to be recconded with. Is there a bar out there that will sponsor a Gays Link Arms to stop this senseless bombing? If so...count me in!! If we don't fight for these beautiful brown skinned beauties...who will?

Ehhh, small car bomb, 12 dead, big deal. Hell, a week ago there was an army of people riding camels through the middle of Cairo, swinging their machetes at people.

Here, this seems fitting:

Yes, and while we're at it, why don't we just band together, head off to Afghanistan, find bin Laden, and help create a secure & prosperous future for those lovely, tanned skin Afghan buys with beautiful eyes?

Us gays can do it, I'm telling ya!

Suddenly I've experienced an epiphany. Count me in too.

Why doesn't the OP read the story before asking daft questions, and some of the responses show equal ignorance. Its part of a very long standing insurgency/separatist movement in Yala, Pattani, and Naratiwas, which are on the border with Malaysia. Its got nothing to do with the political cummings and goings based around Bangkok, and is a long way from anywhere any sensible tourist or expat would travel to.

Yeah, that's true, Aodh. Thank goodness it hasn't spread to other parts of Thailand so far. The insurgents would REALLY f*ck things up for Thailand if they did what insurgents have done in some other countries and take it to the heart of the country.

Last Saturday I walked thru a Red Shirt rally in Bangkok and if didn't know better I would think it was a great marketing idea for selling everything red from shirts, plastic hand clappers to hats and scarves!
