For those who drool over bodybuilders, here's a clip I took a couple of weeks ago in Bangkok when accompanying a friend who'd never had the nerve to visit the place before on their own. For those of you with a faster connection it's a high definition clip. Come to think of it, there was a higher than usual level of definition with the guys, too. I'm guessing there either was recently or will soon be a competition of some sort. It was an entertaining visit and a chance to raise a glass and toast our late member WowPow.

I think next month I will treat myself a BD present and off one of the guys at Tatawan Bar in BKK. I am not into "offing" guys but as a guy who goes to the gym to keep fit, I have a fancy yfor big muscles. So if anyone can answer my questions I would appreciate it (yes, I know 90percent of these guys are straight and tops) 1) What is the off fee at Tatawan ) how much is the "tip" 3) Are any of these muscle heads tops and bottoms? 4) Are they "bang bang" give me my tip and looking at their watch or more "into it"? Any bad expereinces (I have offed a couple muscular guys at BoyzBoyzBoyz ( over 3 years ago) and they were poor in the sex department... I'd would have rather spent the money on a porno DVD. :sex:

I'm totally surprised that you were allowed to film the boys, usually they are very sensitive about this sort of thing, occasionally I've come across a few very bad quality clips of fuck shows taken from a distance where you can hardly tell whats going on. Guess in this case as they were only posing they didn't mind.

You are correct about that, latintopxxx. That came up on gaybuttonthai, also - so in the interest of time I'm doing a copy/paste of the answer I posted there...


Those who have commented that photography "is not normally allowed" are correct - and many clubs have signs up indicating just that. I have not ever surreptitiously photographed guys in a private club for any reason, with this one "grey area" exception. Let me explain:

Inside the club in question I saw no such signage and just assumed it wouldn't be allowed - but the Thai friend I was with spoke with one of the waiters who told him I could, if I was discreet about it, film clips of the guys flexing and posing - but NOT of anything "improper" or in a show - as long as I wasn't obvious about it. There were only three or four other customers in the place at the time, and I most certainly would not encourage anyone else to take this as tacit approval to try it themselves - period.

Nevertheless, although I took probably 30 minutes of clips I've only posted this one - and it's comprised of nothing more than posing that would be done in a public venue where photography would normally be allowed. As I said on my January 26th blog post about this visit they're not what floats my boat personally, but I'm sure the data disc I burned for my friend is getting plenty of spins in his home during his - ahem - "private time".

1. Off fee, as of December 2010: 400 baht. I believe they now expect close to 2000 short time and who knows what for long time.

3. Some of them are top, probably none of them are bottom. Some of them are neither top (can't get it up) nor bottom (won't take it there), they are (what shall we say?) "I'll pose for you and you admire me, then pay me, OK?"

4. Generally "bang bang", though I do remember fondly one exception from years ago. Any bad experiences? I think it's easier if you asked me any good experiences, this being simpler to count: One. Actually, I thought the muscular boys at BoyzBoyzBoyz were far better in the service department than the neaderthals of Tawan.

That's what my friend was told a couple of weeks ago, too. All probably negotiable, to a point. My friend was told that at least 80% were straight and would only top, but who knows what happens behind closed doors when the baht start flying. A friend of seven years did his time standing on stage at Tawan, but moved on for a variety of reasons. He estimated the percentage of straights there to be closer to 90%, all hoping to be paid premium money for doing as little as possible. Just one voice, but he's been there/done that so his is a voice of some experience.

fortunately this thing never happened to me. the worst that happened was i offed i guy which i did not know has been offed earlier that night. in the middle of sex (he was hard) he dozed off. so i just played with him while he was asleep - a little fantasy of touching one of your room mates in college. a nice alternative to straight sex, which i might say are quite mechanical at times. i don't mind that some of them will take time to get a hard on, as long as it is not that long. better than a 15minute wham bam thank you maam.

@camperboy. it seems that the bluetooth hp piece is getting to be the rave nowadays. the last time i was there, a tawan guy not sure if he is an ex-tawan guy was also sporting one in the hotel's breakfast restaurant.

no, i beleive he was totally spent. i would have been suspect if he suddenly woke up around 1am to go home. he woke up around 4am, that was why it pissed me off as i was already soundly asleep.

It's a bit freaky the prediction made by Alaan (another member here) about the way GB would steer it came true and now cdnmatt's prediction of it just turning into Pattaya/sleazy/sex thing has been remarkably accurate too.

If your handle there is the same as it is here, be aware GB may ban you for criticising it.

Anything I write negatively about Gaybutton is tongue and cheek. He is to be commended for all the years he has been online with his original message board, working on GayThailand's message board and now his own GaybuttonThai. He has done a great service for the gay community needing information about Thailand. The unfortunate part is that he allows those sleazy, nasty posts on his board. I would guess mainly for shock value and to attract readers. I would prefer to read about less nasty topics but to each his own.

Easy... Go to http://www.archive.org/web/web.php and type in "gaybutton.com" and you'll get this page - http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://gaybutton.com - with a heap of versions saved at various months of the year going back to 2000.

The server isn't very reliable so sometimes you need to click on something 2-3 times before it will load.

Not all pages are archived so if one page doesn't work load try another version (i.e. a different archive date).

Be aware that viewing some of the archives of his old site may freeze your web browser for a few seconds or a few minutes, depending how powerful your PC is and what operating system you're using. It's processor intensive for some reason. If this happens, just be patient and wait for it to load.

Sorry, I didn't talk to him and have no idea. It's been four months since I took those clips so who knows if he's even there at this point. Someone who frequents the place might be able to help you, though. Give it a day or two and watch the thread here.

GBT member Trongpai mentioned recently that they're having an anniversary party on the 24th, so if you're in Bangkok you might want to go. Get there early for better seating. They open at 8pm.
