I'm curious why we should acknowledge Lek's birthday any more than any other bar employee's birthday. Is he a celebrity? Does he have some particular claim to fame? Some other reason to shower special recognition?

Now if I said that everyone loved my party, or posted links to advertise my bar etc etc etc, you all would not take a second to hang ME out to dry!!

I think the policy is business owners in Thailand are allowed to post announcements on significant news or events, but don't overdo it and it's better if they actually participate too.
