Can anyone help me pinpoint the Beach Sauna in Khon Kaen?

It seems like it is now KK's only gay venue so I'm trying to get it on the PP map for KK.

If you know where it is you can add it to the KK map below

There's a map on the website, but I can't make head nor tail of it -

Also, can anyone confirm if the Dolphin Sauna is still open and help with the exact location too?

Funny thing being, I've been living in KK for about 1 year exactly now, and don't have the slightest clue as to where those places are. :)

I've heard OF them, but that's about it...

Added Beach Sauna. Just switch it from Satellite view to street view and then it's easy to work out the location.

Thanks for adding the location DBoy!

I guess that's it for Khon Kaen. The owners of The Boy Zone in Udon Thani are reported to be looking for a location to open a bar in Khon Kaen. I'd say the Pullman Hotel area would be best location, having a number of Farang bars and gay-friendly venues there already, but I hear the rents are high. Anyway, I hope they succeed - a bar in KK would be a great addition to this charming city.

Honestly, I'd say that would be one of the worst locations for a gay bar, and yes, the rents are high in that area. Putting a bar in that area means you're targeting the foreigners, and there's simply not enough gay foreigners in KK to keep a bar like that alive.

If you want to start a gay bar in KK, do it within walking distance of the university. There's not a single gay bar in KK, but yet Khon Kaen boasts the largest university in Issan with over 40,000 students. I would imagine at least a few of them are gay, and would appreciate somewhere to have a few drinks with other gay students. Setup a bar close to KKU, you'll make your investment back within 12 - 18 months, and you'll have a blast doing it. Setting up a gay bar in the middle of town close to Pullman is asking for disaster though. No way in hell that would succeed.

If you're setting up a gay bar in KK, make sure it's orientated towards Thais, and not farangs, or else it won't succeed.

Matt... judging by http://www.theboyzone-udon.com/, I'd say the owners are probably looking to open a gay sex/host bar catering more towards farang sexpats/tourists rather than a locals bar.

I like the idea of a gay bar/club close to the university to attract students though. I think I will tell Kim and perhaps help him finance it... :blackeye:
