While relaxing and people watching at Dontang Beach today, I was wondering do the icecream vendors REALLY sell that much icecream ??? There is so many of them and the two cute young men would get all of my business. :hello2:

IтАЩve never bought an ice cream whilst sitting on Dontang Beach, but as most visitors to the beach will know, there are a huge number of boys selling porno DVDs and they seem to come along every 5 minutes or so. Once I was curious and instead of politely saying тАЬno thanksтАЭ I showed a faltering interest. The boy stopped to show me his catalogue of DVDs. I bought one for 100 Baht just to get rid of him and when I got back to the hotel I found that every time the camera showed close ups of the тАШbest bitsтАЩ they became pixilated! Ah, I thought, IтАЩve been conned, I should have known better. I never purchased another DVD on the beach. Do you think this was just an isolated case or is every porno DVD they sell dodgy?

Was it Japanese porn by any chance?

Close-up pixelation on Japanese porn is common practice - nothing to do with the vendors themselves and I doubt the people who copy these DVDs en masse sit and watch each one before copying them.

On the bright side - you can use your 100B DVD as a drinks coaster.

Japanese law on porn allow it to be produced for the local market providing the male or female genitalia are not shown. If the porn is for export and not to be sold in Japan then the pixels will not be there.

I have bought plenty of porn DVD's from the fellows (I don't buy the icecream just the DVD's -lol) and most of them are of good quality for the price you pay (6 for 500) I imagine 5% of them can be bad. I have had a couple "rejects" and I take them back a week later and there is no problem (if I can remember the vendor)-These vendors have the video all grouped/ classified so tell him what your style/desire is...muscle/twinks/ army/ Latino/ Asian/ Farang..the selection goes on. :occasion9:

Thanks also Scottish-guy тАУ you made me laugh with your drinks coaster comment! The DVD was of Thai men, definitely not Japanese. Looks like I was just unlucky with my first purchase.
